You guys can throw all you like at me. You can’t spew your hate at the team today. That’s good enough for me .
Given he’s much maligned on here and largely correctly - and it’s still mental how he is a regular in the PL - I’m gonna give a word for Cathcart today. He was superb. Won every battle and bar one moment in the first half when he watched Ings just jog away from him and get in behind, he was as solid as he was at his best. Now the challenge for him is to keep that level up between now and the end of the season.
It's that thing, isn't it, that we've discussed here before this season, that he is capable of being the utterly unspectacular junior partner to a more talented leader centre back if he can be brought up to their level by them. Obviously, the greatly increased focus on defence helps elevate that a bit further, too.
It’s not all about you. Don’t be so vain. Although I think everyone in the negative Nancy clan is the same person, but just with different alias’, so maybe I was talking to you after all?
It’s a shame the resident troll can’t just let the forum enjoy the win without trying to sidetrack everyone with their desperate attention seeking.
Think you might want to have a bit of a mathematical reappraisal to try and get your head round when our next game is, lad.
Oh I don’t expect him to keep it up. But I do think it’s worthy of mentioning, if only in the name of showing that us BW’s can be even handed.
It’s the hope that kills you. Apparently Fulham were 19th after 23 games with 15 points in the year Hodgson kept them up.
HB1 - we have always gotten along. But your recent behaviour is a bit odd to say the least. Was only a couple of weeks ago you were rallying all fans to be on the same side and be positive? Now you only seem interested in being divisive? Crack on however you see fit but I don’t really see the point after a good win. Surely now is a better time to push your case for positivity off the back of 3 points rather than just lazily trying to bait other forum members?
Yeah, for sure - I'd still prefer a fit Nkoulou to be in there over him, but obviously his error rate has gone notably down in recent games and he's appeared far more unflustered and in some form of control. I have given up any hope of him not blootering every aerial ball ever straight back to no man's land with an utterly aimless header - we can't have too many nice things at once.
I'd like to give a special thank you to Ashley Young. For being as slow as **** to allow Dennis to nip past him to head home.
What a brilliant result, get in! Thank **** Roy listened to the majority of us on here and ditched his negative dreary four central midfielders style of football.
Top win and really needed given results around us. How Louza hasn't been one of the first names on the teamsheet this whole season is beyond me, he's basically the only player who looks comfortable on the ball.
I'm a bit gutted we didn't lose, to be honest. The unbearable nonsense from people at finding a piece of sweetcorn in this turd of a season is not worth the excitement of a goal and a win.
Great win , although very nervy I think you have to credit Roy with improving our defence , so much more organised , he has however muted our attack , we now really need to make something of the opportunities we get. Had a few good chances though, Dennis was unlucky with his first shot , sissoko should have passed when he had his shot. I think this is still too little to late and to have any chance we need Newcastle or Everton to have a bad run , but let’s see what happens at Palace
The plan was always for us to win today and the P.L. give us an extra day off to enjoy it hence our next game on Wednesday! Performances and results over the last few months have been disappointing to say the least, but when you see we are only 4 points behind the teams in 16th and 17th place with 14 games to play, with Sarr our best player back, today we have given ourselves a right good chance of staying up!
Was probably last chance saloon today. Not reading much into the result but it's nice to actually win a game of football occasionally
Roy said "we're in a facked up situation...." https://twitter.com/lawless_david/status/1495086805028417537?t=PUf7EViCqhmp38N-PTTt3Q&s=19
Great win glad to see Dennis score and another clean sheet. Remember all the ignore button is there if you deem to use it.
Impossible to blow your chances already when you have 40% of the season to go, aren't massively adrift and have had one of your key players out for over a quarter of it, whichever way you look at it.
