What a penalty from Mane. Given the circumstances I can’t recall seeing as outstanding a penalty as that. Really superb.

You’d think it’d be logistically difficult to get Sarr back in the squad/group and at the match on Tuesday but he should be fit to start against Brighton and high on confidence too which will be a big boost no doubt.

 

Sarr about to go on the lash for a week. I'll be shocked if he's involved on Tuesday.

We had some right battles playing the Bull and Tiger from Borehamwood. I even hacked down by one of their patrons who was watching from the sidelines. I'd just gone past the fullback with ease but he wasn't going yo let me go any further.

 

We definitely need the spirit of Boreham Wood to stay up. Props to Senegal for taking Sarr off after 77 mins. Best let him rest and on the bench for Brighton. Still waiting for confirmation he wasn't injured in the celebrations......

 

So Sarr went over, played minimal game time but still contributed in key moments. They won the tournament and he’ll be coming back happy.

Almost like everyone was getting panicked about nothing really?! Seems like the whole thing was actually dealt with well if it wasn’t for all the odd statements from Senegal and rebuttals from us.

I’ll whisper it….but Senegal have done us a favour by giving him game time and their success has likely put him in a better mood than he would have been had he been stuck here.

 

Wait until you hear about some of our other players who also went but played for teams that didn’t win it…

 

That takes me back . 45 years ago I scored with a header in a cup semi final against the Bull and Tiger and at the time for the only time in my life I had a migraine and blurred vision the ref was absolutely on our side and sent 2 of their players off and their manager threatened to deck the ref. We lost the final unfortunately.
