    Rather Guinness tbh.

Lager is acceptible if paired with a curry or similar and is supposed to represent the country of origin of the cuisine.

I would say the same about lager, but it’s probably a matter of taste (in the discernment sense). I strongly disagree that different gins, ales, whiskies and (dare I mention it?) cheese all taste the same.

I don’t disagree with all the others, but when it specifically comes to a Gin and Tonic, 3/4 of the drink is the tonic water. When I make my OH a G&T at home she always takes a sip, then asks me if I’ve put Gin in it (which I always have, and a double at that) which suggests to me it’s the tonic doing most of the heavy lifting anyway, if you can’t even tell if the gin is in there.

I've learned the hard way that I just want a decent, sessionable IPA (no man bun) and preferably gluten free. I've tried lots of fancy flavours and not only are most of them rank, but also, mixing them is a big mistake as a beer which might taste OK in isolation, will taste awful after you've just accustomed your palate to something completely different.

It's Vocation Heart and Soul or Beavertown Neck Oil for me.

Really? I know it's fashionable and available everywhere but I find it very meh. Not had Heart & Soul. I think for me the issue is it has to be a proper cask ale. This gas flow stuff is just fizzy and tasteless and ends up giving me a hangover without getting drunk enough to deserve one.

I used to be a real ale man, but it gives me the farts and the *****. I am an IPA man now. I can drink a couple of dozen cans without ill effect if paced correctly.

Foo Fighters are absolute cack. A bland sixth form band with an iron grip on Kurt Cobain's coat tails.

They're what people who go to Glastonbury to watch Kylie Minogue think is 'Rock Music.'

I think I've said before, they're marginally better than Nickelback, if only for their first album.

Weddings are generally always boring and far too formulaic, it doesn’t matter how much has been spent on them, they’re all the same and all dull.

The worst part of weddings are the speeches.
