Remember the season 2003/04 though where in the second half we had lots of must-win games and we ended up winning most of them? Here's hoping Ray being back in the dugout (albeit as assistant manager) will have its effect again.
That Gallagher is a bit handy. Perhaps Palace will actually play some strikers against us, unlike against Chelsea. Sarr and Dennis to win it for us in a routine boring 5-0 victory. COYH.
Even if some half wit from the club had managed to acknowledge my email* of February 14 I would not be able to attend. Stupid kick off time. Palace will win,the hope of Saturday will evaporate. Harry will do a Zverev and smash up the Palace dug out after Mr Tumble wins and converts the 147th minute penalty. * I've long since resigned myself to the fact that Gino will not bother to reply.
Foster Kiko Cathcart Samir Kamara Sissoko Louza Cleverley Sarr King Dennis Bachmann, Ngakia, Kabasele, Masina, Kayembe, Kucka, Sema, Cucho, JP. Watford 0 - 1 Palace (Zaha - 88 mins) 'Orns!
Huge game. Win and we are right back in the mix. Hope we go for it and don’t settle for a draw if that is where we are after 70 mins: need to be brave tonight.
I'm being brave and going out to a dance show with the missus. Will let you know how it's going at 70 minutes in.
As long as Hodgson listens to us clever folk on here (No, not those that were supporting him blindly even after the Burnley and Brighton games) and doesn't put out four central midfielders I'm confident we'll win. Watford 3-0 Palace MOTM performance from King.
Tonights a real opportunity for us to kick on after Villa. Put in a convincing performance at home under the lights against a stuttering Palace. Drag the likes of Brentford, Everton, Leeds and even Palace into the relegation fight. With all that said, 2-0 Palace (Zaha, Hughes)
Need to win this to keep our hopes of staying up alive. If we don't start getting points Everton and Newcastle will go out of reach. 1-1 Dennis 37', Hughes 90+7'
Still think we're done for personally BUT a win tonight really makes things interesting and surely gives the players real confidence moving forwards! Home form will be vital: Palarse Burnley Everton Leeds Brentford Leicester Six very winnable games! We have to win 4 of them and pick up a win or two on the road: Southampton Palace Eight games there that, on paper, are winnable and gives us an outside chance but nothing more than that! Atmosphere needs to be on point this evening.
If we win those eight games Bubble, it will be far more than an outside chance of staying up, it will be a virtual certainty that we will stay up as we will have 42 points, and I think we have every chance of winning those eight games too. However even if we were to win only six of those games I think we would still probably stay up.
Hate to burst your bubble but the combined odds of us winning those 8 games are astronomical. “Every chance” it is not!
We HAVE to win 6 of those 8 to have any chance. Failure to win tonight only increases the pressure on those next 7 games.
There has been a lot of talk about how the team has been performing over recent weeks, but no one has mentioned how the 1881 and the rest of our supporters have been performing. Well I do not think you guys have been performing very well recently, at least not at home!!! TIN HELMET FIRMLY FIXED ON MY HEAD Unfortunately I have been an armchair fan for several years now after being a ST holder for many years due to various circumstances, therefore I only see matches online and on TV these days. One thing that affords me is a perspective on how well our fans are getting behind the boys, and unfortunately our fans after a vast initial improvement with the forming of the 1881 have slipped back into almost becoming a bit of a library in recent months IMO! So come on guys lets try and get the volume back up and really become the teams twelfth man again, I know you can do it..... COME ON U 'ORNS
Anyone who thinks we won't easily tonight is kidding themselves. There's no rule saying we can't win 2 games in a row. Palace are a steaming pile of trash and garbage and that probably flatters them somewhat. Their best player is a vile cheat who has been desperate to leave for about 10 years and their second best player is probably Will Hughes for all I know or care. Prediction Watford 7-0 Palace Hughes (og 2, og 9, og 15, og 28, og 37, og 44), Foster (pen 90+3); Hughes (sent off 45+3) Comfortable evening.
Just ******* LOL at you thinking we will win 8 home games in a row when we have one of the worst home records in the country.
