It's more that some variables have much more of an influence on an outcome than others. As I've stated many times this season, when we've missed Sarr we simply don't have the remaining quality in the squad to be properly competitive at this level - otherwise all the manager is able to do is effectively shuffle the deck-chairs on the Titanic. A manager can do some things, but there's probably none on the planet which is a miracle workers enough to keep this squad up without him,
Well that win has totally changed the outlook for the weekend. The missus has put wine in the fridge, declared that she no longer needs to binge watch Inventing Anna on Netflix tonight, and critically just gone for a bath at twenty past.
6 minutes added on time turned into almost 10 minutes. The Samir injury didn't take 4 minutes to sort, though!
When you think how strong we were at home last season, and how generally gash we are on the road in the PL, it’s crazy to think that nearly at the end of February and we’ve taken more points on the road than at the Vic. (11 v 7) If only we could recreate last season’s home form, considering we still have to play Palace, Leeds, Burnley, Brentford, Everton and even a somewhat out of form Leicester there.
It's the corrupt PL. They're solely responsible for the position we're in, today was another example of them trying to take points from us.
Regarding the time added on, 30 seconds is added for each sub, all 6 subs were made in the second half so that’s 3 minutes. There were easily another 3 minutes on top of that for the first ‘head injury’ plus anything else, then the second stoppage was easily 3 minutes as well. You may think it wouldn’t happen the other way round but that is a different debate, the total time was about right.
Lots more fight today for those second balls and 50/50’s. Louza kamara done well for me. Louza was calm and looked forward at every opportunity trying to create the quick attack. Kamara never gave up. Need plenty more performances like that. Villa turned up expecting an easy win I think, are we just delaying the inevitable? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Weren’t some of our subs made in injury time so that would take away from the 6 mins? I had no issue so much with the 4 mins tagged on to the end of the injury time. But the 6 minutes was laughable.
Great result and if we can beat Palarse on Wednesday then we will have dragged other teams into the relegation scrap . Which is a big if BTW . Brentford for example must be starting to look over their shoulder now .
I pointed out in my original complaint that there were just "4?" subs made in the second half - I've double-checked and it's indeed correct. Cucho and Kabs both came on together 2 minutes into the injury time already. So that's just 2 minutes from subs. I don't think the injuries took as long as 3 minutes either.
Including Palace themselves. Norwich showed us recently what not to do against them, and that is sit back for the rest of the game after taking an early lead.
Correct. And I am assuming everyone else was expecting the bottom 3 to lose today however ourselves and Burnley have kicked the door back open
Agreed. It's obvious people care. I would say that the BW care more, if anything. That's why they get so pissed off with the blatant mismanagement of the club.
I think we probably have tbf. It's going to take a monumental effort to get out of this situation. I would have more hope if there were a couple of whipping boys in the league (apart from us).
Dennis has scored a goal in each of our three Head Coach’s first wins of this season. He’s actually scored in all five of our league wins.
It was doom and gloom after Naarch and Brighton home games but crucially we have winnable home matches between now and the end of the season which has to be a positive in our favour
WE deserved this result. As supporters, not fans. It’s been a horrible few months with talk of protests, walk outs and our fan group chanting anti-Watford songs at their own players and boasting that they also support Borehamwood. But we’ve fought through it, with the guidance of Gino Pozzo, and we’ll continue to fight. Because that’s what we do and that’s what Gino does. He’s a winner. Orns!
MC v Spurs just had nearly 10 minutes of injury time, 7 minutes of actual then another 3 on top, more big team bias. Glad plucky spurs got the win.
Yeah heaven forbid should Man City lose. Brilliant game though, blows the title race open a bit more.
