She needed to prove that she wasn't a one trick pony and she did very well. I thought the judges over played the praise a little, because her vocal was shaky in places, but she did the right thing and has made herself a serious contender.
It transpired that J Kay made some disparaging comments about Danii and Cheryl in the papers before the show. Something about how they were useless and that although he'd like to **** them both, he thought they were pointless. http://itn.co.uk/67fe0f1c4c7a5f4a5074a3aa4cff8433.html
[Disclaimer]The kids watch this so it's on in the background[/Disclaimer] Well that was a prize **** up tonight! Dermot once again saying "we need to hurry you" every 5 seconds. DON'T HAVE SO MANY ****ING ADS. Rant over.
It's not that. It's the judges. They have the same thing each week. They know how much time they have left, but they insist on giving a massive monologue each time. HOW THE **** did they save Katie? That's a ****ing disgrace. Racists, the lot of them.
Oh, and sack Cheryl. She gets paid millions to do that job and she wouldn't be having such a great pop career either, without the millions of viewers watching her every night. All she has to do is pick a song for her acts every week and then make a decision after the sing off. She is terribly bitter with her comments against certain acts and now she refuses to do her judging job in the final. When she first started on XFactor, she was the nation's sweetheart, but I think she's a nasty, capricious, egotistical, spiteful little *****, behind all that chav makeup./
They didn't. Cheryl quite clearly said that she'd take it to a tie break if she had to vote and they moved on. After Louis had his vote it was 2-1, and if they'd then gone back to Cheryl it would have gone down to the public vote. Almost as soon as Loius had made his vote they booted that girl off. There will be hell to pay, mark my words.
She did, but she'd missed her chance to vote. She doesn't make the rules. There will be complaints though. Mrs. Moog works for Ofcom and visibly winces when things like this happen, as it's just guaranteed work for them.
I think you could be right Admin, Cheryl said she'd take it to deadlock and then nothing more was said/done. Saying that, I think it was (just about) the right decision. I actually don't think either of them should've been in the bottom two. I would've much rather seen Paige and Mary/Wagner there.
Wouldn't be surprised if the result of deadlock was that the same girl (Tracy?) went, the producers knew it and wanted to save time so as soon as Louis voted against her they ended it. Katie annoys me. If you can't remember the words to a song then really you can't be a singer can you? If a footballer forgets how to kick the ball... er, scrub that, I forgot about Lloyd.
I completely forgot her breakdown during her final performance. Saying "sod it." sitting down and then repeating the title over and over is not singing. She looked like she was ready to go home and deserved to for botching her performance. Cheryl doesn't have the right to make the rules about when she votes, so I reckon ITV will be fine on that one.
WRT to vote, Dermot asked Cheryl if she was happy with a majority vote that why they kicked her out so quickly. VOTE WAGNER!!!!! Rage against the machine of 2010!
Katie is now 2.1 on Betfair to be the next elimination. Could this be easy money? You know she'll be in the bottom 2, and if Wagner escapes again then she'll be up against some seriously good singers. I'm sorely tempted to bung a few quid on her to go next and use the profits to run another £10 to £100 game. How big is this Wagner movement?
I suspect the worse he gets the more votes he'll get. Cowell doesn't mind, he's just happy to rake in the money.
Then again, it's possible to make money with a bet on Wagner AND Katie, such are the odds. Is there even the remotest possibility that anyone apart from those 2 could go if in the bottom 2?
No chance of Mary. She'll pull back with something more in her comfort zone and have every fat person, housewife, supermarket employee and Irish person in the world dialling for her. Paije is vulnerable though. I'm not sure who his demographic is.
Oh, and the judges will vote Katie out the next time she's in the bottom 2. There will be a riot if not, unless she's against Wagner.
That's the point, can she finish in any position but the bottom 2? She got so few votes last week it was laughable, where is the support going to come from? So it's £9.10 on the nose on Katie, to win £10, or split £27 between Katie and Wagner to win £10. I just can't see any other outcome?
Anyone who didn't own Killing in the Name before last year, but went out and bought it for the first time, deserves to die.
I'm not. Rage against the machines song meant something. Wagner is just **** I already owned it along with hundreds of other RATM songs. But I also bought it again. Do I deserve to die?
No, by my qualification criteria, you're OK. I bought Joe McElderry's "The Climb," even though I already owned the Miley Cyrus version
I did that. Do me and about 500,000 other people deserve to die for going against the manufactured, corny and contrived shyte that gets churned out by Cowell every Christmas? In fact, it would be more reasonable to say that anyone who watches the X Factor (unless they're watching with their kids etc.) and buys the awful songs that it comes out with deserve to die.
Yes, you deserve to die. That's what I was saying. Didn't I make it clear enough? On a serious note, you might as well **** in a river. From the Monkees, to the Bay City Rollers, to Stock Aitken and Waterman, there has always been a place in the market for manufactured, talentless, Svengali led popstars. Buying a record which if you don't own already, you don't actually like, doesn't stop a single penny from reaching Cowells pockets.
Can't really believe what I am reading , I dare you sit through a Monkee's song without at least tapping your left toe , if you can't then you are Zombie.
