I thought Diva Fever were really unlucky. They actually sang really well in their final performance. I hate I Will Survive, but they actually did a good version and proved they can really sing. They were only in the bottom two because Simon has packaged them to be a stupid, gay novely act, choosing songs for them which are rubbish and making them jump around in cycling shorts.

As for Bellamy, they are really rubbish, but were never going to be voted out by the judges. They sing terribly together, they have no stage presence and like One Direction, look like exactly what they are, a bunch of teenagers trying to do something badly.

The judges were always going to save them, however. They are young, pretty and maleable, so Simon will mould them into his creation. Plus the show has a stake in creating the band, so One Direction and Bellamy will always get favouritism over most other acts.

One Direction deserve another mention, because they are just so, so, so crap.

 

See Simon has signed a $20 Million deal with ITV over 3 years.

Cheryl was looking oustanding on Saturday, she has made it onto my short list to be the next ex-Mrs Birdy.

 

Totally agree about one direction, it can only be the teeny bopper girls who fancy them, all punching away on their mobiles, that are keeping them in the competition

 

Bingo. My own 12 year old has already voted for them, as have her mates, her mates mates and most of the pre teen population of this country. They will win it or come mighty close, not because of the sound of their voices or music.

Who else actually votes though? Nobody I know or ever have known would even think of wasting a penny on shows like this, it can only be youts.

I thought tracy/tracey/treyc did a good job with Purple Rain for what it's worth.

Did you not hear him say he had reservations about coming on the show, that's probably why he got the cold shoulder treatment, they obviously knew about it.

 

I was watching the betting on Betfair last night, once the final 2 were announced all the money went on the girl group to go. It's almost as if it's being leaked who came last in the voting .

 

There was a bit of a furore concerning the placings being linked in week 1 I believe. It was in the paper yesterday.

I was surprised, to be fair. I thought the judges would save Belle Amie, as they were manufactured by the show, are young and maleable and just generally seem to be more popular with the judges.

To be fair, both acts were **** and both should have gone.

 

at the risk of looking gay, i thought Cher's performance was outstanding. One of the best i've seen.
