Just tried to type 'forestieri' using the swipey predictive text thing on my phone. Here is a selection: Footwork; disorientation; tootsies. Spooky!
Where have people got this notion from that Park is pacey? I'm pretty sure it was made up out of nothing and snowballed
Almunia Ekstrand Cassetti Angella Anya Murray Tozser Merkel Pudil Deeney Park Subs: Bond Hoban Faraoni Battocchio O'Nien Ranegie Forestieri
Id prefer.. Almunia Doyley Angella(or is he injured?) Hoban Faraoni Murray Tozser Merkel Anya Deeney Park
I wouldn't take out Cassetti - he's been majestic. Pudil has been excellent too, whereas Faraoni is the one player who doesn't seem to have caught the new spirit of the team (apart from Diakite of course)
Faraoni has looked very lacklustre in recent weeks since those Torino rumours came about. There was one game (it was either Bristol City, I know he scored or Brighton) where he didn't commit to anything. He pulled out of tackles on numerous occasions and just didn't seem to want to contribute. Now Bellerin has gone I think he will have to work even harder to get a place. Pudil has been very good, as has Anya.
We've not won away since 5 October. Yeovil not won at home (league) since Dec 3. That would suggest a draw tonight, but hopeful that even without Fessi, we should have enough to win. It's commendable how certain players seem to be 're-born' under Sannino, the likes of Cassetti, Forestieri, Pudil, Doyley etc, while Tozser looks a great addition. Who is coming to the match tonight? I'll be there from 6pm and looking forward to meeting some of you guys
Wasn't it a Wobby headline? Featured in an article if not. But I'm pretty sure they reported it somewhere.
This is the quote from the Watford Observer... Chu-Young was said to be quick, good in the air, technically strong and capable with both feet.
6 changes, shadows of Brizzle away last season @watfordfcsays: #watfordfc start XI v Yeovil: Almunia; Angella, Cassetti, Ekstrand; Anya, Battocchio, Tozser, Merkel, Pudil; Deeney, Ranegie. Six changes.
Hmmmm. Call me an idiot, but with Battocchio and Anya there, our midfield seems a bit weaker. If that premise is right, that ain't good against a rough-and-tough typical lower league English side like Yeovil.
Ranegie exists! Feel Merkel is a bit of a passenger and has to be carried, as is Battochio sometimes. Hopefully Merkel comes alive in this game.
Was about to place a bet on Watford to win 2 - 0 but I am not so sure now that I have seen the team. Thinking 1 - 1 or 2 - 1 to Watford now. Any ideas?
Bit more indepth from the Watford FC Facebook page: Belkalem coming back into the squad is tonight's big story, for me. I didn't think he was as bad as most seem to. Three centrebacks on the bench, plus a wingback (Hoban, Brown, Belkalem, Faraoni) is quite defensive.
That team looks rather good, I would have liked Hoban in but he is probably not ready to start after his injury.
Agreed. Shame Forestieri is missing the game but at least Ranegie is finally making his debut and good that Almunia and Ekstrand are back. Bench a bit light though, but still good to see Brown and Belkalem in the squad, the latter of course has been injured for ages. I am sure we'll see Hoban at some point tonight.
Considering that 3 changes were mandatory due to bans/injuries and that the others are mostly players returning after knocks, I think that's a trifle harsh.
