This is a bit of an isolated incident, and not one that palace are known for. It will always depend on who is around the incident re pulling them up, not every one wants confrontation and i wont condemn them for that. As for damaging the reputaion of football, well, we aint millwall !.
`It was a good game, a tiny minority of palace fans have really put a downer on a good game of football (for the neutral anyway, for a watford fan it was just terrible second half) I think the best thing to do is just let palace pay for the damages, if the people responsible can be caught then they have life long bans and we can all move on!
Really? the instigator seemed to come from the home end, unless you're referring to the seat chucking of course? Whatever, what will be, will be. Enjoy the run-in and if you can take any points of Leicester and Cardiff, please feel free to do so.
What I will say is Ian Holloway has come out of this looking like a bit of a c**t. His comments to the press after the game were literally laughable if you knew anything about the 2 sides. Ian Holloway laughed at the amount of players we have on loan, when we started 4 loanees on friday, the same as palace. He moaned that it meant that english players were getting picked 2nd when both teams started with the same number of english players, and then he said it stops the academy players breaking through, when watford had 4 academy graduates in the match day squad to palace's 2. Just bored of people jealous of our playing squad, Holloway is just a guy with a big mouth and a very small knowledge of the game, a very limited d**khead of a manager
Unless there were 2 such incidents, defo a palace fan. Leicester, hull and Boro all come to ours,we visit b......n, do our best to turn erm all over.
I can't deny Palace fans were very good, but why do they seemingly get so exited about coming to Watford every season. I've been to Selhurst probably 8 times watching Watford and it is almost a chore. I doubt they take such numbers and make such noise at other away games. Also I didn't think their home support was that great first game of season, it was nothing special at all. Yes I know stones/glass houses.....
They were silent at home, but were very loud the other night, feel they are now the least likely of the play off bunch to go up now though, poor manager and I think a fully fit watford team would have won that one easily
Took 4000 to posh,3000 to Leicester, sold out Charlton, will do same at pigpenand mansex, also ippo, sold out Cardiff, average about 800 - 1000 over the season I would imagine.
Middlesbrough have lost their last 5 league games! If a team is to drop out, it's going to be them. (Interestingly, if they'd won all those games they'd be just two points off Cardiff) Just looked at the table now and I didn't realise that Blackburn had come out of nowhere - they're in 8th just 4 points off the play-offs!
