Because this season has been so much better. I would take last year over this year, at least we had the wins over Everton and Man Utd. This year we've had the scum game and nothing else. I want to be in the Premier League, not a mid table Championship side with two bang average homegrown players like we used to have
Last season was disappointing particularly at home but we have definitely under performed and under achieved this season . 3 wins out of 17 at this level is awful no matter who is in the team - I doubt we had such a run with the fairly average squads we had in the past . I dare say it’s the most underwhelming season I have seen (since 1992) in terms of reality against expectations and predictions?
Last year wasn’t as bad as people make out. We only lost 11 home games in a row. I’d rather lose every game in the best league in the world so I can see the bestest players like Haaland, Salah and Tony.
Errr you missed the Arsenal players m8. EDIT: Ah, of course, we see them at the Emirates every other week.
I hope we have a massive brawl on the pitch, calling a halt to the game, which we're losing, in the 84th minute, as we battle it out to settle, once and for all, whether being quite **** in the Championship is better or worse than being utter **** in the Premier League. I am there for this!
Arsenal weren’t that good last season so I supported City. I’m more Arsenal again this season. But also City. Next season might be Newcastle or Man Utd dependent on how they do. Maybe even Barca in the CL if Messy goes back.
Arsenal ? Hahaha. They're so March 2023. Bunch of losers. It's Citeh, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace for me.
Asprilla not available on Monday as he is playing in the Under 20s World Cup . Good luck to him . https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...colombian-midfielder-heads-off-u20-world-cup/
You’re lucky you’re too young to have suffered the 71/2 season, but this one runs it close. I even found going down to Div4 in 74/5 less miserable.
Always wonder in a pointless game like this in the (hopefully) sunshine, couldn't the two managers just get together and say 'who cares, let's just both go all out attack, see what happens'?
Are we doing Stoke a favour by honouring one of their ex players? https://www.skysports.com/football/...athwal-makes-history-in-india-with-odisha-fc?
The club have rightly circulated a joint statement from the football authorities reminding fans to stay off the pitch tomorrow. https://www.watfordfc.com/news/join...rters-from-the-efl-premier-league-fa-fsa-ceos While a win will secure top spot (of the bottom half), people need to keep their emotions in check for the good of the game. Please wait for the players to return after the final whistle to display your signs asking for their shirts, rather than seeking selfies on the pitch. Thank you.
Gino running scared. Let’s hope the masses ignore this, run on the pitch and share their right to free speech and protest.
The fans will clap and cheer as if nothing is wrong with the club. I am not sure if many realise both financially and playing wise the state of the club. Or choose to ignore it. What can the fans do? Boycott the club? The fans don't own the club, that is a fact. Massive summer for Watford. What direction will the club go in? A clearour of the majority of the current squad? A promotion push? Consolidation in the Championship? A season of struggle, but survival in the Championship? Relegation to League One? Administration? The club to be sold? An interesting and vital summer coming up for Watford FC.
I am going to walk across Oxhey Park on Monday to the match. Hopefully it won’t rain too much, I will, enjoy the body search before entering the ground, will applaud young Pedro as he acknowledges the 11,000 crowd. Watch the game sat next to dear friends and family. Possibly moan about the result, but look around at the end with regret that I won’t be there again until August. A walk back to at pub in Oxhey village to ponder this season and lay out a plan for the next.
Wow that brings back memories, always used to walk through Oxhey Park on the way to football. Haven't done so since moving to Leighton Buzzard in 1981. I also used to drink in the pubs in Oxhey. Mostly Rifle Volunteer but also Villiers and Haydon Arms.
I forgot the Railway, I used to drink there quite a bit in the 60's and 70's Andy used to do a really nice meat pie that you could have with your pint.
This will come as no surprise to anyone on here but I was with friends for dinner on Saturday night. They know one of the club physios. A large majority of the players treat all the medical team with contempt. Perhaps that's why our players are always crocked? Wilder too has been dismayed,as others before him with the complete lack of professionalism. Players arriving late for training, not listening, not trying... I despair.
