And then we lose by an apparent offside goal. So that's 3 points we have lost in 2 games from wrong offside calls, what a joke. ***** spurs and the PL refs
Son was offside They didn't even try and win it after the red card, it was us taking the game to them and we were an inch away from winning it 20 seconds earlier Robbed
Bitter taste of injustice. Spurs were dirty as you like. Red card was a poor joke. We haven't had such an awful ref since the championship. Dreadful team they have there though. Not a chance of winning anything on that show. Seen several much, much better teams than that.
Apparent? Son was about 5 miles offside when he challenged Gomes on the first cross. Robbed. Well and truly a shyte refereeing performance there.
Bloomin goal line technology! Old school that's a goal!! Can't believe just how good we are this season, that was still good to watch, hopefully we give Man City a decent game as well.
Son was about 4 yards offside, first in the initial cross then again when the ball was fed back in. Spurs cynical dirty team, I've a feeling we will get our revenge at sh!te Hart Lane
Was a red to be fair. Some shocking decisions otherwise from the ref. I didn't know defenders could bearhug strikers now, must be a new rule. And bookings for Troy and Iggy for shouting at officials? Vardy sticking two fingers up at a lino and telling him to **** off is fine though don't forget. And the winner was offside. Fantastic effort though and a performance like that can only help the team spirit.
After all the pressure Watford put on spurs before the goal including the numerous corners and goal line clearance the BBC report "Watford 1-1 Tottenham Posted at 16:43 Nothing to see here. Lots of keep ball, a booking here and there, that's it. Move along." Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Referee killed that game with the red card decision. He was card happy from the first whistle, gave the Spurs fellow a yellow in the first 5 mins that wasnt which set the tone. Worst ref I seen in a long time, didnt have a clue.
To be fair you e taken that out of context, the comment before that was that after the sending off we looked more likely to score, they were just suggesting it now looked likely to be a draw.
Can't really complain about the red - Ake went in studs up waist level. You can't not give a red for that. Either way, we were excellent again, and made Tottenham look pretty useless. Close call between Deeney, Anya and Watson for MOTM. Now, players need some rest asap!
Gutted for the boys, they deserved better. Defensive misake and dodgy officials were the difference between the team in 3rd and ourselves. Spurs mate of mine said they never looked like breaking us down and they didn't deserve it.
Feel gutted. We where playing well and deserved something from that. Son was offised for the build up (not the only spurs player either) and again for the goal seconds later. Gruby side Spurs not above a shove in the back or leaving the boot in. Watching Rose throw himself to the floor under no contact from Deeney just about summed them up.
Watford 1-1 Tottenham Posted at 16:35 Are Tottenham dominating after Watford had a man sent off? In a word, no. If anything they look less likely to score now than they did when Nathan Ake was on the pitch.
I don't think anyone is complaining about the red, mostly the obviously offside goal and the other stuff.
Bloody hell! What a great performance from the lads! The Ben Watson corner was millimetres from being a goal and then they go up the other end and score an offside winner! We were so close to beating a very good spurs side. We have just thrashed Liverpool and picked up a deserved draw at Chelsea. I think this is the season for something special to happen (Yes, Europe!). Let's re-group and go again next match, we're powering through this so called 'difficult' run and could easily have picked up more points. Our excellent team shape and morale needs some smart additions in January, cthis combined with the topsy turvy way the season is going means nothing is impossible COYH!
Definitely a Red Outplayed and out thought in the first half until a moment of Iggy Magic Second half a bit more even but can you say we created anything? Spurs are a decent team and if you a ask me that was the toughest game we've had all season, at least against Arsenal we actually had a few chances in the first half. Yes Son was well offside and that was very unlucky not to get a point but we certainly isn't deserve any more out of it.
Learnt today that Arsenal are still on a different football planet to Spuds. Worst cheats at The Vic all season. Would have won with a non bent ref.
Half way point of the season..lost six matches and all of those to the only six sides who sit above us. Not lost to any side between 8th and 20th. Spurs changed their formation to counter us today..what a compliment..and it took a huge slice of luck and some shocking refereeing decisions today for a top 4 side to beat us. Undeserved. We looked the better side in the closing minutes. I'm angry tonight but also very proud of our team. It's been an incredible 2015 and an incredible first half of this season in the PL. And the best thing is, you feel there is so much to come. However much or little help we get from the match officials.
Does anyone remember that Korean fella that turned up on the forum when we signed Park Chu-Young? He said that Park had a "burning fire of determination", or something along those lines. He then went on to big up someone I'd never heard of, called Son Heung-Min. I had a good laugh at his posts I have to admit.
To be fair it's difficult to create much when you're playing with ten men against a team like Spurs, Deeney is playing right midfield and Ighalo is dead on his feet up front. Strange comment that I'm afraid.
More than proud of our boys. Nothing you can do when the ref is the back pocket of the opposition. Favoured Spurs all game and I'm glad a lot of the pundits are saying the red was questionable. Never a red card, studs high, yes, but he won the ball first. Ref had zero control over that game whatsoever. Numerous spurs players should have been booked in the first half but weren't and that changes the game simply because those players would have been more on edge about putting tackles in during the 2nd half. They were dirty and cheating all game with all their pulls and tugs on the shirts or Deeney and Igahlo, as for Rose's dive, why wasn't he booked? Shocking officiating, one of the worst performance's I've seen in a long time by officials. Truly despicable! To play the way we did and be the better team with 10 men sums up just how good we are. Nothing about Spurs' win is warranted or deserved. We should have had a blatant penalty in the first half where Vertonghen deliberately stopped and pulled Igahlo's shirt from getting the bouncing ball, thankfully the pundits here in the States also saw that and stated that is should have been a penalty, so hopefully the media in England will also comment but I doubt it because we're not one the "big four." All in all we played really well, deserved at least a point but we lost simply because of incompetent officials and nothing more. Well done boys!
Not seen a replay yet so I'll take your word for it. What about the Spurs challenge in the first 10 mins? Our players seemed pretty unhappy about that one.
