We wanted him in January. This could be further evidence of the genius of the pozzos if we get acheampong as a result.

 

Good lord. If this is the case and we swap him for Acheampong... then you're right. Pozzo's prove themselves to be genius again. £10.5million was a crazy amount for Sven Kums, but maybe they saw him as one of the best players in the league and could be traded back for younger talent. I imagine that they would have like him to have had a better season at Udinese to keep his value, it certainly wasn't gonna go up.

 

With Kums leaving, I've not felt so sad since Belkalem turned his back on us.

Being presented as an Anderlecht player this afternoon, signing a 5 year contract. No mention of the fee to us.

Shame that we didn't give him a farewell performance/testimonial after all he's done for us. I, for one, will miss him.

Anderlecht apparently got him for 5.5 million so we made a 2 million loss.

 

I personally don't think our dealings with Anderlecht is done in this window. Hoping for either Dendoncker or Mbodj as I stated earlier in this thread. However it will probably be Acheampong. Either way the Pozzo's don't like taking losses so I wouldn't be surprised if we signed one of these three at a price most people will be shocked at. Then we will hear all the moaning from other fans of saying, I just don't understand why we didn't go for him at that price. Followed by, more dodgey dealings from Watford, vile little club, I hope they get relegated, they are everything wrong with football and think they are Real Madrid.

Interesting that the Chief Executive of Anderlecht said this a couple weeks ago

"Youri Tielemans, Kara Mbodji and Frank Acheampong will leave us this summer - but we absolutely want to keep all our other players."

Tielemans has already joined Monaco. Hopefully we get Mbodji, solid CB.
Acheampong wouldn't be bad either. Lots of pace but needs to improve his decision making in the final third.

 

The Sun has just linked us with a move for Mbodji. Apparently us and Palace are in a head to head battle for him.

 

That's an easy choice for him then. He won't go to a little small fry club like Palace. No-one even wants to be their manager yet. We got their number 1 target and now they are screwed. Looks like they will miss out on Monk as well. Slutsky or Some other tinpot manager for Palace it is then.
