Yes, its pretty obvious it shouldn't need explaining. We are now the cash cow for the pozzo business and with a turnover several times that of Udinese will from time to time buy them players.

Wonder if he'll ever play for us. It could be he's been signed for us & is just being loaned out for the season for various reasons, or it could be creative bookkeeping from The Pozzos & he's for Udi. Hard to tell which.

I guess that was exactly the point.
Some people don't remember that we loaned Ighalo to Granada for 5 consecutive seasons when we were the "sugar daddy".
They have problems realizing that now, thanks to the Premier TV money, WFC is the "sugar daddy" in the group and is acting as such.

 

Hang on, there's a glitch in the matrix. WDSport seem to have confirmed this transfer on their rolling news feed. Difficult to explain what happened here but I suspect that they decided to deliberately put the false information out there in order to "keep it under wraps" out of respect for the club. Perhaps they'll explain more in the full article that I'm sure will be up on their site soon. It's lucky that they didn't have a smug dig at the Observer for reporting this rumour in their earlier article, otherwise they'd look a bit silly now.

They clearly wanted to avoid us being gazumped. It's what any responsible publication of good repute would do.

 

Might be the story wd was told to keep close to their chest so tried to deflect the other reports of it to keep their nose firmly browned with the club

 

Yeah, best get WD to keep it quiet after national media outlets and the WO had all reported it.

Looks like a Joe Allen type of player, quite small but makes a lot of tackles, keeps the ball ticking over and can pick a pass. Think he also takes set pieces.

I genuinely thought this was one of those annoying made up threads till I saw his name in the actual Watford Observer today. Would now like to see the Pozzos build a fresh young side of players with ludicrous names around Kums and Success.

 

The full back from pre Pozzo era called Mayo always tickled me, because he was the first player bought under The Salad Brothers, Russos.

I pondered whether all their player signings would be dictated by how relevant the players name was to salad.

Here are the stats for Kums, compared to our other midfielders. Seems to stack up favourably.

 

I can literally see no reason not to sign him.

 

The trouble is, he mixes in well with what most of us would consider an "average" midfield; therefore making him pretty average.

In my opinion, even if this guy is the same level of the players we already have, then it's not good enough. So I think we should be pushing for 'better'. That said, if we do bring him back I hope he is at least as good as his stats state.
