Don't Burnley always do that routine where Mee runs to the backpost at corners and ends up in acres of space? I guarantee that will happen later and if an idiot like myself knows it's going to happen then I would hope that someone at the club knows as well. If not I'll fire off a quick email.
**** last couple of weeks - this third wave of Coronavirus, having to get myself vaccinated yet again, long nights and short dreary days, noisy pavement rebuilding work on my street that has been going on for two months when they were supposed to finish over a month ago (some of it starting well before 8:00), taking four wrong turns off a roundabout or motorway in one car journey home in the dark, receiving a bus lane fine, taking well over an hour to get my hair cut on a weekday morning because of COVID restrictions (including one gent who took over half an hour!), losing at Brentford in the last minute after being 1-0 up, having a row with my mum over basically nothing, accidentally breaking a window, a virtual job interview that didn't go very well (I hate the fact we're staring at each other on a screen, the ones in the flesh are far more dynamic). Now all that's left before I hear the news about my interview is a win at Burnley tonight to cheer me up. Surely this run of misery can't continue?
Quite relieved. We’re absolute sh1t right now. Keep this one tucked away for when we may (or may not) have a few new signings.
As one of my mates just pointed out, it means we don’t have to put up with Troost Emong and it’s a few more days for Masina & Sierralta to get back to fitness again.
*eye roll emoji* I guess this means Palace will be off as well. Not sure if I prefer this or the absolute *********** of the fixture pile up that will emerge.
Be very interested to read the detail of this - given the announcement so close to kick-off and the PL said today that they were reluctant to hear any more plea's for games to be postponed before Xmas. You'd imagine it must be a widespread outbreak which surely puts the game at the weekend at risk too.
I forgot to add to that list: all these PL postponements coming thick and fast. Not sure if that includes ours - bit of an anti-climax to find out we're not playing, but obviously better than losing!
At what point did we realize in 2019/20 that the season wasn't going to be resumed for a long time, if ever? After the Leicester postponement, or one of the games after that? Surely there won't be anything like a repeat as the death count isn't going to be anything like as high?
Statement says we have been unable to name a squad with enough first team players - can't believe that the club have only just been alerted to this possibility. Think the club must have a goodwill duty to reimburse fans if they can show proof of travel.
