I don't see why. In that other thread, it's been concluded using xG, pG, rG and Fc that our defence is fine and we don't need to improve it.
I don’t know much about Mawson recently as funnily enough I don’t follow Fulham so I’ve tried to do a bit more digging to see what Fulham fans think. I couldn’t find much but I don’t think it’s quite so quite so cut and dried that Fulham fans all think he is crap. Boro are struggling financially I believe. I think he is above the ceiling at the moment. But Steveo might dig deep to get him back. They're still after a CB too.

Bristol City have enquired about taking Mawson on a season-long loan. They have also confirmed Steven Sessegnon on loan today.
Looks like it'll be another quiet one in terms of centre backs, gone quiet on the Troost-Ekong front too. Maybe the young lad Busquets might come, but he's more of a midfielder
