I'm aware of the rules and that you don't have to register them, but it would leave our squad rather thin. I think it would be far better to use those slots.

 

i think we could do a lot worse than Joel Campbell as a winger. His loan at Sporting is up and I can't imagine Arsenal wanting to keep him. He'll have something to prove, has always been very competent defensively, is hard working and can play W/ST if we're desperate. He showed real talent in glimpses for Arsenal, Olympiakos and Costa Rica. I can't imagine he'd break the bank either so if we spend big on a ST and a CM I'd be more than happy with him is our winger.

He wouldn't necessarily be the stand out signing of our summer, but could end up being a very good option. Unlike Niang even when he isn't having the best of games his work rate would still make him an asset to the side

 

Arsenal fans I know think quite highly of him.

 

I watched him a lot at Arsenal. Always struck me as one of those players who was just below their level/squad player, but because he put so much effort into every game the fans took a liking to him. I remember a lot of people claiming that he was more well rounded than ox, Walcott but Wenger saw him as most dispensable because he wasn't part of his British core project. The more I think about him as a possibility the more I would like it to happen

 

100% agree on Campbell. Would be a very good signing.

I only want Campbell if he brings his dad out of retirement to play in defence for us.

Campbell could well be on Silvas radar too, seeing as he played at Olympiakos?

 

He didn't play at Olympiakos under Silva.

However, I did not say that he did play under Silva, but I am sure Silva has many connections with the club and Greek football in general to perhaps have a better insight on Campbell than many others.

 

You could slap an Arsenal badge on a lump of dogsh*t and people on here would want to sign it.

 

I would've said that no matter who said it. I'd imagine a current PL manager would be aware and familiar with most players currently playing in the PL, especially when they play for Arsenal and have played at a World Cup.

A few Turkish teams have offered 2.6m for him. Not really followed him but that price seems very cheap if he's as good as people are saying.

 

I seen this it does seem very cheap. Surely worth trying to get him if he is going for this sort of price.

Hello, new to forums, another previous anonymous lurker for 4 years or so.

I'd like us to go in for Vincent Janssen, young, good international record, prolific premier goal scoring record. OK, may have slightly exaggerated the last point but I guess his lack of goals for Spurs makes him a viable target.

My main reason is I've always liked the Dutch and the concept of total as opposed to partial football, so I think Janssen could link up well with Berghuis and Janmaat. Also would like us to go in for Ake and maybe change the away kit to Orange.

I'd like to see us go for a few English players, the obvious ones have already been suggested Gibbs, Delph, Pickford those 3 would probably go somewhere bigger but it would be nice to be attempting to get that kind of quality in maybe have a look at the championship. Murphy from Norwich

Darren Fletcher was one of WBA's best players last season. I'd not be disappointed to see him at the Vic
Joe Lesley didn't seem to have the best of times at Palarse but I'd give him a trial, nothing to lose.

Worrying that were nearly half way through the closed season and Silva still hasn't signed anyone. Either we've got no cash or Silva isn't a big enough name to attract the sort of players we need.
