I think that's slightly unfair to Kayla the eagle of SP.

She's a fine bird and probably odds on with Bet Fred,Bet Bob,Bet Tom,**** and Harry to be the next manager there too!

 

John Terry free Agent.
Wages could be an issue.
Age is also a concern.

But a wealth of experience and knowledge could really come to the aid of our defence.

I think i'd be violently sick if we signed John Terry. He's a nasty piece of work and wouldn't want to see him a Watford shirt. Even if he is an experienced defender.

 

Not needed one little bit.

 

Him and Prodl would be too slow, we need a CB with a bit more pace, plus the teams wives would be at stake, dont want communal cohesian to fall out the window.

My thought is that we should sign him up and then take him out back with a shotgun and do the humane thing.

 

There is no way that I would want that horrible man at Watford, unless he was playing for an opposition side that we where beating squarely.

 

There is no 'Suggestion' prefix because there is a suggestion thread. I would bet that John Terry's name has been mentioned in there, with pretty much mirror responses to those above.

 

Would be a staggering waste of money. Much prefer to use those wages for an up and coming talent.

Was reading that Redknapp has persuaded Birmingham owners to offer 100k a week to Terry .

Next time you're in the pub with your mates, say the name Bobby Moore and watch their faces. Then say John Terry's name and watch the same people's reactions.

 

I think I'd legitimately stop watching us play if he signed for us.

We definitely need at least one new CB as defensively we were shocking last season. So I was trying to think of the best and most realistic CB to partner Prodl as well as be in our price range.

With that being said I would like for us to try and sign Subotic from Dortmund. He went to FC K*ln on loan in January where he only started 12 games and has now gone back to Dortmund.
With Tuchel gone, he might get another chance to prove himself to the new Dortmund manager but hopefully not.

I know he has had a few bad injuries recently so that would be a risk but I would rather him in our squad than Britos and Kaboul, even if he does only plays 25 games a season for us. Personally I think we could get him for around £7mil-£10mil and his wages would be affordable as well.

Couple others I thought about as well were Kevin Wimmer and Francesco Acerbi, but Subotic would be my no.1 choice.

What CB would you guys like to see join us this summer within that price range, as well as be an improvement on what we already have?

Hopefully the Birmingham City link is true, he will join redknapp not train or play midweek games, turn up on a Saturday have a few good games, (be know way near worth 100k pw) but Redknapp will be hailed the transfer king of England

 

I'd be very happy with Wimmer, that time the year before last when he had a run in the team he was very capable/mature. I'm sure dealing with Spurs would be a nightmare as ever, though, and he'd probably like to go to a bigger team on the continent. That's just the feeling I get from the zero information I have.

In fairness, the plus side to Subotic is that English is basically his first language.

 

If we sign Wimmer to go with Britos, then we have two characters played by Chris Barrie in the team.

It's a yes from me.

 

I see Albion have bid for Jay Rodriguez. 12m could be very shrewd business. If he's over his injuries would in my opinion be smart business.
CB I hope Pozzo goes for another former player in Jeison Murillo of Inter. Rumours are that Lille, I believe are sniffing around at 11m plus.
