I’d like that kit if the yellow was the predominant colour and not black.

Yellow is our colour and it seems secondary on this kit.

Glad to see Richarlison on the kit video too. No Doucoure though.

 

I really like it, definitely inspired by the hornet as per the depiction on the back. Good look!

 

I agree, that was the reason why the 15-16 kit worked for me.

If the black stripes were a touch narrower then this kit would work.

 

Like it too although the cuffs should’ve been yellow imo.

How we've moved on! It was only a couple of years ago when our sponsors were DryWorld and they were late on the kits, so Troy had to play Stevenage in his underwear.

 

I'm a big fan of this, looks like we get some payoff for having the dullest Adidas kit alive for a season first.

 

First impressions are that I like it very much! Different, out there, but it still feels like a Watford kit.

Inb4 comments about the stripes being purely for Deeney's benefit as a slimming effect...

 

Waaaaaay too much black for me. Nice kit but not sure it's "Watford" enough for me. But then I've always been in the red shorts camp.

 

Agreed. Love the shirt but why not carry the stripes all the way round?

 

Yeah think it would’ve looked better with yellow socks perhaps.

Well Huddersfield have done exactly that with their new shirt and it looks great

I like this! Agree with the comments re having the stripes thinner and carried on through the back. i used to make kits like this on Pro Evo all those years ago.

 

As someone who doesn't normally care about what the kit looks like, I actually like the new one!

Not enamoured with it,too dark. Udinese with yellow instead of white. Hope at least might be one of those kits that grow on you.

 

Are you Cambridge in disguise?! Some clubs have striped shirts. We dont.. well not since our Newcastle kit of the 1920's. Thumbs down.

 

Looks like aids. The horrible font makes it look worse.

 

To be fair, it’s far less in keeping with our tradition - mainly yellow, red secondary and then hints of black.

When I think about it, this kit is far more in line with our nickname. All of which as a PL club, will be about building the club as a brand and something recognisable. In that respect, I think it’s a good effort.

 

I like it. I had concerns it might be long trousers this time with a wide-collared long sleeve shirt like on ‘Strictly’, so pleased with that.

 

It's awful. Too Udinese, not Watford at all. Are we Hull in disguise?

Would like a bit more yellow but overall it looks alright to me. That said my wife and kids often don't want to be seen in public with me when I choose my own outfit for the day so what do I know!

 

Is it bespoke though? All I really care about.

 

The front is more black than yellow - jeez first impressions not good, I like others hope it grows and doesn't still resemble a sepia tinted Newcastle kit by the start of the season

 

At least we get another season without those ghastly red shorts. Yippee.

 

Definitely worked better with red in the Danny Graham years. Yellow? Not so sure

 

The colour scheme and stripes are also probably designed to make sure we have more kit clashes too so a need to wear the away kit - which drives more sales etc etc
