So we need to sign some Brazilian or Portuguese player named Ronaldo. Doesn't matter if he's any good. Or maybe we could persuade Gray to change his name

Or a Korean called Ron-Al-do. Either way is good. But I’ll be damned if I’m wearing yellow every week.

Rumour has it that black and white will our away kit. Cannot confirm this though and if so, if its of equal of both colours or if one colour is more prominent over the other.

Depending if Fulham win promotion this weekend, we could have up to 5 teams donning Adidas kits next season in the Premier League, compared to 3 last season (Watford, Man Utd and West Brom). Watford and Man Utd remain from last season and now joined by Cardiff (wearing Adidas kits from 2015). Also in the last few weeks both Wolves and Leicester have signed deals with Adidas.

    Wolves:

    Leicester: https://www.lcfc.com/news/691507/leicester-city--adidas-announce-multi-year-partnership/featured

Both teams have not officially unveiled their new kits but even though Leciester are to reveal on 1st June and availabe to buy from 1st July, but some how the new shirt became available to purchase from the US Adidas site for a short period before they realised and took it down. I know that there's not an awful lot you can do to "jazz-up" a single colour football shirt but that looks really bland...Does it bode well for what we're going to get?

EDIT: Also the away kit looks like an advert for Adidas more than anything else?

Apologies, that correct, will be 6 if Fulham get prompted.

God this stuff bores me. How many variations on yellow and black are there? Well plus a bit of red maybe. And we should play in yellow as often as we can which, next season, probably means in every match except Wolves away. When we could play in a string vest.

It's getting like a Gianni Versace catwalk which has nothing to do with football. Rather some sort of nancyboy polar opposite.

OK, I did purchase last year's offering. On the grounds that I got a 28% discount. And I'm hoping to see out my days in it. Which, if I keep sticking away the Cragganmore at the current rate, will undoubtedly be the case.

I'd like to apologise as I assumed everyone loved the Yellow, I guess I'm from an era where we wore it every game and there was no such thing as an away kit only a change strip. I certainly didn't envisage any of us actually resenting the possibility of wearing yellow every week. A doff of the yellow hat to those who are the yellow army week in week out COYH!

I think the point made earlier was that while many people wouldn’t want to wear yellow as a fashion statement (jacket, jumper etc.) they would prefer it if our team wore the yellow with pride as much as possible.

Thankfully I'm far from the point of wearing anything as a fashion statement, the question would be how much do away kits actually make nowadays compared to tv money, are they worth it or or are they, as others have said merely a fashion statement? Everyone I know wears the yellow every week and I'm just surprised to see it the colour dissed in any form. On other threads there's been posts saying it's lame to wear your shirt down the street when not going to a match, why is this? Are we emabarrased? sorry that's more than one question before any pedants slaughter me for that lol

This is not necessarily my view, but I think people tend to equate wearing a replica shirt with wanting to look like a player, while wearing a WFC t-shirt for example equates to looking like a supporter, especially away from a game. Wanting to look like a player with a name on the back of the shirt is OK for a small child but not for a fat old git (like me).

To be clear. I never wear yellow other than when supporting WFC. When I am supporting WFC I only want to wear yellow. I don't tend to wear my shirt apart from on match day. But, having seen the number of 'big six' tosspots minceing about in Ricky in their 'big six' shirts any day of the week, then I'm seriously considering revising that policy. In about two hours time.

Better if you have your own name/nickname on the back of it rather than an actual player.

This is my ethos too, you should however consider wearing the shirt the day after beating one of the big six as you'll find it extremely rewarding walking past the 'plastics' in their shirts

I might just wear my Andre Gray for England shirt every day just to annoy people, besides I paid a fortune for the lettering :D

Why would we get more TV money just for wearing yellow more?

I apologise if I misinterpreted your question - but you said ‘the question would be how much do away kits actually make nowadays compared to TV money’.

Not entirely sure what you mean by that?

No worries it was a genuine question as some mention the revenue made from away kits I was wondering how much is actually made, after all the design and manufacture costs are taken into account, and how this compares to the TV money.

Does anyone actually know the figures regarding the total sales of away shirts per season and the net profit per unit?

But why the correlation between how much we make from selling away shirts against TV revenue?

I’d like there to be one home match in a season ( last home game? ) where fans wear only old shirts, current shirts forbidden. I think that would look quite cool

To be honest, I'd rather that we all wore an old away shirt at the last away game. We have had every colour under the sun and some absolute stinkers. Would look brilliantly awful.

Just seen that "Luke" are producing Villa's kit next season, Birmingham City fans refuse to wear Luke clothing as the owner of the company is a massive Villa fan, risky doing this as a lot of other fans may refuse to wear the clothing, got to be a first, A real fan producing the kit for a team. Good luck to the bloke, not sure how this is going to end. May have expected it to happen with one of the smaller clubs, but whatever people say, Villa are still a big club.

Wow, I had not heard about that, that is tinpot as ****. I would not be pleased if I was a Villa fan. They've gone from some great shirts from enormous international brand Under Armour to some budget brand by a bloke in Walsall.

  33. Burnsy

To be fair, that brand of clothing is quite expensive. And they sell Under Armour for peanuts in Sports Direct these days.

What’s odd about this deal is that Luke isn’t a sportswear brand. It’s casual clothing. It’s like Levi’s making Tottenham’s kit. Just weird.

He has more then one brand name, thought he may have named a sports brand that he manufactured but under the same umbrella, as you say not even a sports brand, be interesting to see all the leisure wear they bring out, got a horrible feeling it will only be for a year and wont help sales of his bread and butter market
