How does that work? We always wore yellow at home and the away strip away last season. Kit clashes always resulted in us changing back to the home kit when playing a team in red
For example, we played stoke away last year in the home kit. This year we'd probably have to wear the away kit instead purely on a stripes basis and not colour. That is, if Stoke were in the league
Love the new kit, just not a fan of the sponsor logo on front with the black stroke around it. I think it would have showed up fine without it.
Not sure we would as stripes often play stripes, we wouldn't clash with stoke at all, can only see the Newcastle and Maybe Bournemouth clashing but we'd be wearing our away kit anyway at theirs and staying in the home kit at ours and hopefully not playing Stoke the following season :-(
I've always felt that anyone over the age of, say, 15 who wears a replica shirt is pretty tragic but that doesn't apply in this case. It's superb! When do they go one sale? I must have one
Does that also cover rugby fans, american football fans, baseball fans, basketball fans etc? If so then you think there are a lot of tragic people out there. I think it's pretty sad that people have such awful feelings towards anyone wanting to wear a replica top of their team.
It's OK, but as others have said, too much black (though I always appreciate the lack of red). Would look better with yellow socks at least, and I'd also have had yellow sleeves.

People listing clashes seem to be forgetting about a fresh guaranteed two-fixture clash from our favourite old midland attempted-fan-murderers Wolves. I've also got a friend who is a Wolves fan, and he claims that with their own new Adidas deal they have been promised a return to a more golden-oriented kit colour. I don't know if it's true that they ever did actually have that, but it will be interesting to see.
Apols. I *thought* I remembered the Geordies whining that because of PL rules they weren't allowed stripes on the back of their "iconic" shirts.
I like it, and I'll buy it end of season when it gets put in the sales to a price that's in keeping with the real world. I say I'll buy it then, most times I try they only have XXXXL left. This kit may not look as good on anyone needing to order a kit with that many X's.
Wasn't it to do with commentators not being able to read the numbers on striped shirts, with no stripes on the back it will be much easier to tell Deeney from Hughes
After the Michael McIntyre thread, and looking at the price of a shirt with a name and number on the back, (plus a premiere league label), I wonder if wearing one will make you a target for the moped gangs?
It may look heavy on the black when you just see a flat image on the screen from front on but with an all yellow back I'd say there's a decent balance between the two main colours. With all lettering and numbers in red I'd say there's enough there for me personally but then I grew up when there was no red at all and see it as garish when we have red shorts and/or socks.
The junior kit looks better.. I know that's a weird thing to say as it's the same kit but in the pic it looks more like two yellow bands rather than the bar code multi-striped thing it is. It's a subtle difference but for me that would have been better.
I like the kit but it doesn't look like Watford to me. A club's colours and kit are part of it's identity, to it's fans and also to the outside world. Something that is synonymous with that club. And these black stripes just don't say "Watford" to me. Maybe in time I'll identify with them but it looks like a top that belongs to another team.
Yellow socks could also make us play better, Ruud Guilitt changed Chelsea's socks from blue to white as he thought the brighter colour helped him passing to team mates, he wasn't too shabby a footballer either
