Of course not. You know the structure as well as anyone - Giraldi gets first dibs and then reports back to Gino.
Personally I don't really understand why this video would result in his release; as far as I can tell the video doesn't even contain any sex, and the girl in prominent view is clothed (to a degree). She looks more like a stripper than anything else. Even if it was a sex party, as others have already said, so what? All that being said, we talk about Gray (rightfully) a lot, but Penaranda has pound for pound been a far worse signing. The only saving grace is that we didn't really actually pay that money for him; if we'd signed him for £10m (more than half Gray's fee) from, say, Flamengo, everyone would be going apeshit.
Doubt it is, nowhere says that explicitly. A sale, for absolutely nowhere near what we would have thought he might be worth when we first signed him, is most likely. Seems like an attitude issue, but who knows, if we'd given him a path to the first team, maybe he'd have turned out normal?
I guess they are hoping they can cancel his contract on the basis of the video, effectively for gross misconduct. Saves his salary cost. Every little helps......
Pretty tame compared to the video of Dele Alli being ****** off by a ***** while his mates stood and cheered. Guess he had more value to the club.
The only reasons I can think of as to why the club would release him because of this is the timing and it's not the first occasion his professionalism has been called into question. Sex parties (and I use that term loosely after seeing the footage) during a worldwide pandemic probably isn't the smartest thing. Gray was slaughtered publicly and punished by the club for having a birthday party and a bit of a kick-about. I'm pretty sure this was more of a potential health hazard. He questioned the head coach directly regarding some of the training routines while at Eupen, calling them pointless, was promptly dropped & didn't play for the club again. (https://www.hertfordshiremercury.co...news/forgotten-watford-man-speaks-out-4091424) While at Malaga he was fined for arriving late/completely absent for training three times in the same week. His overall attitude was also criticised while out injured. (http://sportwitness.co.uk/watford-loanee-fined-indiscipline-complicated-situation-spain/) My own personal view watching him 'play' for the U23s was he either couldn't be bothered and felt turning out at St. Albans was beneath him. His warm-ups compared to the rest of the squad were embarrassing and his attitude during the game was appalling. He'd stop if he felt he'd been fouled, waved his arms about like a lethargic helicopter if things failed to go his way and was generally a waste of space. When he did get on the ball he showed no quality whatsoever. It may just be, if there is any truth of his imminent release, that he was on a final warning and the club have had enough.
Safe to trust that the video is real. As for trusting that this random website's close anonymous source is credible in saying the club is looking to terminate things as a result of this? Leave that to everyone to decide individually. Plenty of examples of footballers being idiots, but it does say something that our renowned scouting department has signed a few that really exemplify it more than most. Nothing but the best for Watford!
Exactly. Your average stag party sees worse goings on than that video. How many people get fired for those? If it isn't illegal then I don't see how it's anyone else's business. Is this sort of thing for me? No. Do I care what two or more consenting adults get up to in their own time? Also no.
I hope you aren't as naive to believe all that went on at Gray's party was a kickabout and blowing out some candles?
Of course not but if there isn't proof of anything else happening he can't be punished for it. Penaranda's misdemeanours are becoming fairly well documented in the public domain.
Didn't Nigel Pearson's son get the boot from Leicester for his part in a self-filmed sex video with a couple of other players? It's probably frowned upon by clubs because of potential damage to its image and 'brand' and possibly becomes a matter of discipline (for the club, not at the party) if it breaks terms within the players contract for acceptable behaviour/conduct.
Unfortunately he only has himself to blame. You can have all the ability and talent but if you are not prepared to work hard then it makes little difference. Some might point to the fact he has been shipped around not been given a chance. Other players have had this and worked even harder on the training pitch or when on loan put in performances that make their parent club sit up and take notice. One such player is Tagliafico. Didn't let a spell at Murcia get him down but worked even harder when released. I suppose if he was vital to the team and a goalscorer and creator then the club would be lenient because when you scratch the surface of football today moral integrity is sorely lacking and what appeals to club is the financial worth or cost of a player. Penaranda with his lack of contribution and declining value does not tick those boxes.
There’s obviously a reason players get loaned out, it’s called an opportunity, either they take it or they don’t!
It's such a shame . I won tickets for the Woking game unfortunately they were behind the goal in the seats in the Woking end . All I heard from the Woking fans was what a class act this Penaranda guy looked. I also have a funny story regarding some Woking fans and Troy Deeney but not sure if this is the place to share it .
Anywho Woking had a lump of a centre half playing and these guys behind me kept saying what Sir Lump-a-Lot was going to do to Deeney and that Deeney was bottling it by not starting ?. Anyway Deeney comes on bashes the great white hope then taps one in 2 minutes later. Never heard another word after that !!.
...during an orgy on the clubs goodwill tour of the owners homeland. Yeah, probably trumps Alalberto on a couple of things there.
Hope we release him Hes been a complete flop ever since he signed for us and i'm really sick of these carlos kickaball types and their flagrant disregard for even pretending to give a ****
We can't release him without paying off his contract (or part of it). I doubt his conduct would be deemed to be gross misconduct under his contract in the courts. The only winner of sacking him is the player himself, who will probably get a massive signing on fee from his new club who are not paying a transfer fee.
As some have suggested, the clubs apparent failure to administer an appropriate duty of care with their young prospects should be cause for concern. Not only from a human or brand perspective either. If it becomes accepted that for every Richarlison, Sarr or (hopefully) João Pedro there is also a Success or Penaranda, then there is a risk that scouted talent may not think it the best idea to move to us. Undermines the effectiveness of the scouting network and the whole Pozzo model.
I dont give a **** to be honest Pay him up and **** him off. Would rather watch 11 Jon Hogg's next season than any more of these youtube superstar idiots
