    Pearson Out .

Pozzos please leave my club now before you ruin everything .

Giraldi , what the hell are you doing signing Sarr and Richarlison.

Pathetic club that makes me sick of supporting football .

Thankfully I have the internet to voice all my sad and pathetic opinions to all the other sad and pathetic losers who have nothing better to do with their lives but whinge and moan .

Interesting I said this way back in early February on the Man Utd thread:

More of a vague speculation than a prediction, but it's interesting that we achieved 2-3 points in the manner I least expected.

I thought there was a slim hope we might get a draw in both games, or that we beat United but lose to Liverpool, but thought that it was pretty much completely unlikely that we'd do the reverse of the latter - quite apart from how good Liverpool are, I reckoned our confidence would be too much dented after one point from four games for us to have any real hope of beating them. Shows how well Nige has motivated and prepared them and kept their spirits up after that run of dropped points and bad luck which would have been a killer to many other teams' confidence.

Deulofeu out is a blow for sure, but definitely not as terminal as Sarr, as this game showed. With Sarr we can beat anyone, plus Bobby is usually good for a decent showing every once in a while

The one actual bad result in our bad run was Man Utd. We didn’t play that badly but you can’t really argue with 3-0. All the other games went down to the last minute, very fine margins.

Don't forget Welbeck. With Geri out it could open the door for him. Pereyra, Welbeck and even Pussetto or Pedro. We do have viable options to cover the loss of Geri.

But losing Sarr would be disastrous right now.

Doubt Pedro gets thrown into a relegation battle, even off the bench, but everyone else is handy at least. Probably a case of subbing one of them off at 65/70 mins, they're all decently quick without being express pace so up against tiring legs could cause trouble

Liverpool turned up expecting it to be a walk in the park. But let that take anything away from our performance which was unbelievable. Just superb.

This win should give us such a confidence boost. I’m also hoping that Liverpool take the result out on Bournemouth next week and really give them a hiding.

    They'd conquered all of Europe,
    Were never going to stop,
But then they came to Watford,
    And Pearson conquered Klopp,
    Graham Taylor and Ken Furphy,
    The fields of Vicarage Road,
    We are loyal supporters,
And we've come to cheer Watford,
    Allez,allez,allez.

Visited the Liverpool forum for a laugh. Here is the chaps preview of our game. His preview is as long as Nath’s hatred toward Deeney. So I skipped it to the end. He finished it with this beauty.

“So I expect the Reds not to tiptoe but to stride heavily and confidently this weekend and stuff the words down the throats of the internet warriors of Watford FC. I shall take great pleasure in revisiting the Watford Forums next week to witness the weeping and wailing and to exult in another resounding nail in their relegation coffin, the very very very bad meffs. Hahahaha I think we should all create accounts and troll this massive *******.

Edit: here is the link to their poor excuse of a forum.

I presume this bit was referring to this forum?

Part of this commitment was a visit to various Watford Forums to see how they feel about the Mighty Reds coming to town. I even considered a sort of Spyin’ Kop throwback to gauge some feeling from their fans. Well, that turned out to be a non-runner. There aren’t any Watford Forums – well none that you could actually call a Forum and none that bear any kind of comparison to RAWK or TLW or any other Reds forum of note. Of course, we’re spoiled as Reds – massive interest and history, loads of writing and loads of differing opinions. Nobody seems to be arsed with Watford and those that are arsed appear to be mostly a shower of ****heads.

Don't click on this or you'll end up hating these as much as I do now. I put it on here to illustrate what I mean. We all know what Blue Loon and Red Cafe are like but these have absolutely fook all to do with us

Removed - yes they are ***** and clicks on that site means money in the pockets of *****...also it hurts the brain just reading that semi-illiterate *****

15% of all league goals against Liverpool this season are by us, 10% alone by Sarr!

It was a first top flight victory for Watford against a team top of the table since 1983 (that was Liverpool too)

Liverpool's 0-3 loss was the biggest margin of defeat for a side starting the day top of the Premier League since November 2015

Watford's victory over Liverpool was the biggest over a side starting the day top of the top-flight table by a team in the relegation zone since Leicester beat Manchester United 3-0 on November 23rd 1985.

    Drink in the stats people!!!

He has been Liverpool through and through since the day he left us and possibly before, it is as if he has wiped us from his memory. Even yesterday he actually said at one point during the prematch chat that we were not capable of scoring 3 goals against Liverpool :p

This. We will see as we move forward, but it has always felt that result and performance were a monkey on the back of the whole club. Our confidence was as brittle as dry spun sugar.

Having shown this capability, maybe, just maybe, the whole collective will finally forgive themselves for that humiliation and revert to playing without the vulnerable underbelly we've seen so, so often this season, but most recently against Villa, Brighton and Everton.

He was immense yesterday. It makes it all the more sickening the dozen or more games where he's jogged around barely floating his leg at things.

If yesterday was purely because the global agents and scouts were watching, then stick him in the u23s for the rest of the season.

If he's ready to deliver performances like that every week now, then he'll massively soften the loss of Geri.

Battered them. Pearson took the Atletico blueprint for beating them and supercharged it.

Over 50% of the total possession in the game was with their back four, keeper and Fabinho. They were just knocking it about side to side because every time they looked up, they had no options on. We sat really deep and compact but as soon a pass was slightly behind a player or there was a poor touch, we pressed really aggressively in numbers.

The amount of times they had to turn around and play it back to the keeper, or Lovren spooned it up in the air was testament to the way Pearson set us up.

Their fans were dreadful, hardly sang at all. Bigger clubs usually have a good away following that compensates for their poor atmosphere at home but they are much quieter than the likes of United and Arsenal. Also, good to see all the Liverpool fans in the Rookery sloping off at about 80 minutes whilst the place was rocking.

Tbf Sarr was only unsteady when played as a striker, with his back to goal and the ball pelted up to him.

Played in position he has been consistently brilliant.

It was, and a good backheel from Hughes along the line to him, before that - it seemed certain to roll out of play.

    On other things...

As Sarr is so quick, he is able to stay onside and rely on outsprinting defenders, we often see him hold his run to perfection. He left "super athlete" Van Dijk for dead yesterday for his second.

And Lovren is getting a lot of stick about his performance, but if one of our defenders had been so pathetic as Van Dijk was when he watched Doucoure cut it back to Sarr for our 1st, they would have been castigated. Kiko, in his first game back kept Sane out the game, Masina likewise with Salah, and Kabasele and Cathcart caused Firmino to be subbed, he was so ineffective, and as a unit the players dealt with every set piece comfortably.

Their two widely praised attacking fullbacks didn't manage any decent crosses, Wijnaldum and Oxlade-Chamberlain were subbed after an hour, they were so outplayed by Doucoure and Capoue.

So I hope our players really take some genuine confidence from this performance. They should remember that when we played at their place, they were also very good, and only fell short because we didn't take our chances, and that was effectively "pre Pearson". Since then, we have had a couple of poor performances, but mostly we have been pretty good, but have thrown away points from winning positions. The fact is, our ability has not being reflected in our actual performance and results, and that is mainly down to a very fragile (and negative) mindset, rather than a lack of ability in the squad.

One of the things they can do to help their confidence, is to try and avoid reading and listening to their "fans" who continually tell them how useless they are, and one of the things we as fans can do, is to criticise performances that genuinely fall short rather than the players general ability. The players are human, in many cases are away from their home country and family, and need encouragement rather than someone, who is meant to be on the same side, continually knocking them down.

@GoingDown see what I mean? This is what happens when we let the nerds have their moment. They get uppity and cocky.

Let's bookmark all these posts and keep our powder dry until we get hammered by Palace and then smear it all back in their faces. Please relay this to the rest of the BBEC.
