I reckon that’d put him around 15th on that list. Aguero cost £36m, btw. I know times have changed, but still.
I think so... Sanchez to Barcelona was about "only" about £25m. Meret was £35m from the academy. This would just top that at 38.5m profit.
Speaking of settling, I've been confirming my hunch by going over their squad list and at present, Everton do not have a single player who is a native Portuguese speaker. Richy relied on Gomes to a ridiculous degree even when Slither was the coach, and he clearly still can't speak English, so I'm not sure what he's going to do up there.
Personally I wouldn't sell the only player, Doucoure aside, who can actually take a kick without limping off for 6 months.
Pickford is only on loan from us. On the basis of that error I can't rely on anything else in this post.
Amazing. Gino gets £50m for a sulky lad who does little more than run the ball into the corner. Men against boys when you compare Gino and Moshiri, who seems to base his spending on Shoot magazine. Richarlison is going to be lost without Gomes looking after him, especially when rigid formation Silva isnt getting the results and the fans of the world's biggest top 7 club get on his back 30 seconds after kick off. Told my 9 year old - his face lit up and said "does that mean Pereyra is staying?"
Rich will fit in easily in Liverpool - you forget he lived in a rat infested drug and crime riddled shanty town in Braxil
I’d have asked for Sandro or Lookman as part of the deal. Also worth noting that £50m would probably get you Ryan Sessegnon. I know who I’d rather have. Go and buy an established striker. A dominating CB. And spunk anything else on Grealish. I’d be happy then.
Clubs could do a lot worse than get fans opinions. Burnley fans laughed when we signed Gray, Derby fans were sad when we signed Hughes.
Only problem is that Sessegnon is Fulham through and through. We are lucky enough to have a vast array of mercenaries who can't wait to leave the club.
Even if he ends up performing to an incredibly high standard in the PL for a few seasons he won't be worth that much more than this (Barca have made a third bid for Willian at £55m and Mahrez went for £60m). Looking forward to seeing how we reinvest it. Sent from my G3311 using Tapatalk
WBA fans are still laughing about Ellington even though they are the ones who have now been relegated. I remember loads of them warning us about him as the deal went through. We thought it was sour grapes. How we were wrong! I actually feel sorry for Richarlison. Although he will be seriously rich the pressure will be cranked up to perform. He is a great talent but in many ways still raw. Could have developed at Watford for another season or two before a proper big club made their move. Might never reach his potential now as his career will forever be shackled to Silva's fate as a manager. Think his agent is the real winner here...
It’s good if I no longer have to sing “Richard Leeson plays for Watford”. He was at my school and the younger brother of Nick Leeson, who also, coincidentally, got found out.
Let’s not forget Slither was great for a short period of time and Ricky too. The players were all saying he was a great coach and couldn’t wait to get on the training pitch with him. Ok he got his head turned and it went down hill but he must of seen something special in this lad to persuade his new employer to part with this cash. As people have said we probably wouldn’t see more than £50m if he performed this season with us and it’s crazy not to accept the bid but I can see him going to Everton and becoming a sensation he was tired last season and it’s a shame we won’t see the best of him. I think slither knows what he’s doing and unfortunately I think Ricky will do well for Liverpool reserves, maybe this time next season slither will be trying to take him to Barcalona or Man U. £35 million is insane money (we're forgetting that it will only rise to £50m if he's a blinding success). He had a few flashes of sublime skill early on, then teams worked out how to handle him - which coincided with his form falling off a cliff edge. The ridiculous excuses of him being burnt out after playing one a game of footy a week all season didn't explain his inability to bury the ball in a 'surely must score' situation. What are Everton getting for £35 million? Deadly finisher? No. Reliable crosser? No. Dead ball specialist? No. He is physically resiliant, pacy, has the odd trick and plenty of career time ahead. That isn't worth £35million in my book.
I dont care how much he goes for, i do care that we're selling one of our better most promising players. I think he will do extraordinarily well in a team with better players who can take the pressure off him a bit. It will see him flourish into a beautiful butterfly from the cocoon state we've seen. He'll stink at Everton though with their bunch of *****.
Great prospect. Shame it's not us that will see if he pushes on to become a worldie. Fee about right. Good luck Richarlison at Snake FC.
Cue less intelligent Everton fans turning up to tell us it’s only 25 Million and they have robbed us. We aren’t buying fantasy strikers and defenders with this money. The pozzos do what they always do. I expect no one else forthcoming and then unfounded rumours for midfielders I’ve never heard of in about a week
A year ago he might have been. Since last summer we’ve had: Lukaku £75m from Everton to Man U. Van Dijk £75m from Southampton to Liverpool. Mahrez £60m from Leicester to Man City. Edit: Okay now UEA has beaten me to the punch. This is getting silly
The deal of a lifetime for the club and Pozzos, and the first genuine benefit we’ve seen as a club as a result of their scouting of young talent. I think he’ll do tremendously well there, he has the talent - but I also think he downed tools when Silva left. From the minute he banged out his angry face emoji on Twitter he wasn’t the same player. Even if he goes on to be worth £100m we as a club will never get a better price, and I assume we have a sizeable sell on clause. Hope the money is reinvested wisely - we could haul in 2-3 first team quality players on that budget.
Yep. I'd rather Gino spun the Pozzo transfer wheel a few times at £6m a pop hoping to pick up a bargain. Spending £20m on a player these days only gets you an overpriced gamble
Been thinking of this transfer and I now think it’s a smoke screen for a big bid from the snake for Slimani Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
