PS On the subject of bespoke vs template kits. Well i dont think there's any hard and fast rules here. Look at tonight game in Paris. Two major international sides both wearing the same Nike 'Vapor' template. They might just as well have worn each others away kits!
So i think it's just at the whim of the manufacturer. Loyal long customer or not, sometimes they just want to push certain templates.

 

Minimum time spent maximum profit , thats all that is thought about ! Not the club , the customer , forget professionalism its all about the money .

Am I being too cynical ?

 

So it's been officially confirmed. Pretty much as **** as we thought it was, although the lighting at least makes the yellow look a bit less fluorescent in the official pictures...

 

Am I the only one that likes it? Has a bit of the cup final shirt about it

 

Growing on me but the sponsor and badges seem a bit too squashed and would have preferred black stripes and detail but with the shorts being black with red stripes it makes sense that they are red.

 

just plain old nasty.

 

Doesn't look anywhere near as bad as it did in the photo if I'm honest.

Gonna take a random punt that out away kit is green.

 

For me it's just a bit cheap looking, and the throwing in of red is misguided; with the way it looks it should have been black embellishing the shirt.

On top of the fact that it's an incredibly generic template; many clubs are given templates, obviously, and I know they say we didn't have time this season to get a custom design, but not that many of the others so obviously scream 'TEMPLATE'.

The new sponsor does not help, a mon avis.

 

I think the new kit looks great. The low quality photos didn't do it any justice.

Actually really like it. Shut up moaning about it being a template we aren't special haha. We got templates under Puma as well...

I like it.

Even if I didn't like it I would still prefer it to anything orange,apart possibly from an orange.

The picture on the home screen on the website actually makes me quite like it. Not sure what more we'd want from a home kit. Its Adidas, its yellow. I'd have changed the stripes on the shirt to Black and thats about it. It is pretty similar to the 08/09 Diadora home shirt though....

I do agree that we may get an obscure away kit though - Adidas have form with random colours when it comes to away kits.

Well **** me, it's a yellow shirt! What a surprize!

 

Tinpot? We're 17th best in the best league in the world, two of our players have just appeared in a World Cup final, we haven't got some betting or timeshare company sponsoring us, and we've got an iconic shirt from an iconic sportswear manufacturer. What's not to like?

Normal moaning will resume as soon as possible.

 

It reminds me of the Iveco shirt we had in the early eighties, which I have good memories of, but that was over 30 years ago. This doesn't look like a modern shirt. With the sponsor logo being red type, it really does nothing, only cheapens the look.

It's a shame, but I'm sure we'll all get used to it.

 

It's nice. Looks much smarter and classy than the last two kits we've had anyway. As usual I probably won't buy it because I'm an adult man.

I'll never understand why people get so upset about what kit the team wears.

 

I didn't like it from from the leak photo , but with better pictures it looks quite classy I quite like the red stripes and collar ,think it looks quite classy and simplistic ,after the last couple of efforts that I thought were horrible it is quite refreshing. Piques the interest for the away strip .
Who knows might even buy one , the last one I bought was the Udinese look alike one.

 

I've backtracked somewhat and now think it looks ok - nothing more, nothing less. Not sure really why I'm even that concerned, considering I haven't bought a Watford shirt since the poor (imo) Toshiba one. Maybe that permanently put me off.

 

You're right about it all being a bit squashed. Now I can't stop noticing it. Why not put the sponsor another inch of so lower?

It looks more maroon red than red red in those pictures. Kind of like how they're darkening up all the superhero costumes now.
