Okay, fair enough. Well as I said, this game, in isolation - hats off to Hodgson. Totally exposed Gino’s squad building. I’d sooner that than a meaningless 1/3 point(s) that would have been ultimately futile anyway.
Is that what we’re clinging on to now? Roy meant to do this? I get it, we don’t know who to blame so we must defend someone. Or it’s just so laughably terrible that there must be a reason right? I’ve been there, I’m afraid Roy doesn’t really care Burnsy, he doesn’t care about Watford one bit, he probably couldn’t be bothered to make a sub, wouldn’t surprise me. Was he even there? Ray was in the technical area all game, didn’t see Roy once.
Bring on Kalu for Sarr earlier in the game and we won't have conceded that first goal, when his team isn't attacking, he is usually helping the team defensively, so we have a player on the bench who could have helped prevent that cross but we prefer playing Sarr regularly who doesn't offer anything in the attack or defensively. They are bad, the difference is, they found a manager who wants to get them out of their situation. We got an old retired man who just sits back and watches it all happen. Burnley were poor today, but they still beat us. Our mentality to hold on is so threadbare and the confidence just leaks away like anything when we are put under pressure. We should of beaten Burnley, we should of also beaten Brentford. We could be sat on 28 points now with a chance of survival still possible. We are sat on 22 and all but down now because we keep making the same mistakes game after game. Bad players, bad coaching, bad owners. One of the three, two or all three. Take your pick.
Calm down. I’m clearly not defending the guy, it was sarcasm. (I accept emotions are running high - they should be)
Lets face it, it’s a complete mess with so many things you can blame. The fact we should’ve taken our €35m player off to make us better and didn’t says it all really.
That too was a spineless team lacking heart. We''ve been sh1te since but there usually has been mitigating factors like the hand of Petchey or some sort of financial black hole.
They were actually terrible today, with a different manager, we could have won 3:0. Sent from my TECNO P701 using Tapatalk
I’m not sure what annoyed me more..paying almost a tenner for an awful burger, the fact our manager didn’t make a change when the six year old kid sitting in front of me saw the need for it, the players throwing it away, the apathy of the fans who still clap that barrel of shiite off the pitch or the fact that I don’t care anymore about anything to do with the side
Which manager - we kind of had one really ?! So predictable after a decent start . We lacked energy ,desire , pace , skill and it seems subs in the 2nd half . I mean we really don’t have any bottle or heart do we sadly ?
Rookery COG watch: Still a small number of self flagellating oddballs singing “Watford till I die” after the second goal in response to their latest spit in the face. To be fair, noticeably less than previous weeks and died out pretty quickly More bizarre was the split between boos and claps when our loser players walked around at the end. Felt like a slight majority for the clappers even It’s becoming genuinely fascinating to try and predict their breaking point. I don’t think there is a single team even in the current championship who would fail to even get a draw in 11 consecutive PL home games, yet still they clap. Would 12 losses do it? 15? 20?!
Because every time we've brought on the brilliance and freshness of Cleverley and Kayembe so far this reason it's really helped us!!.... A sub would have been useful, but our dross on the bench is rarely an improvement on even the tired dross on the pitch.
Knowing some of our dip***** players they did a crowd walk around at full time thinking the seasons ended
I wouldn't go that far. A different manager and we win this 1-0,2-1 or something like that. Our players aren't that good either and played poorly today, albeit with a lot of effort. But Hodgson is extremely poor if you look at the 6 home games we lost under Hodgson it is really embarassing. Brighton, Palace, Arsenal, Leeds, Brentford and Burnley..
Ben Mee turning out to be a better and more inspired appointment than our last four in this division is pretty funny.
Another horrible awayday avoided. Shame about Wigan and Rotherham, let’s hope Sheffield Wednesday fail in the play offs. I thought we made Burnley look truly awful in the first half. Why we decided it was a good idea to fall back deeper and deeper, I don’t know. Switching Lennon and bringing on Barnes partly contributed to their win.
So many oddballs in our fanbase. Players must look up at them and think “what a bunch of utter mugs. Happy days!”
Good job the team went to their hotel half an hour early or whatever b*llocks Duxbury came out with in his programme notes.
We've become worse than the sum of our parts. And our parts are ageing and below average already. No point repeating whats been said 100 times this season. We're not good enough and we dont even have a plan.
Seemed to work for about 12 mins, we were fantastic up to and shortly after the goal. In faces quickly, kicking Burnley, nicking the ball, no idea why we completely abandoned that.
We did well in the first half, not so good in the second half. I dont understand why we made no substitutions at all. Roy had the look of the corpse out of Weekend At Bernies, hope he is ok. I would have liked a win but helping Everton get relegated is a nice bonus I suppose, lets hope we can beat them or at least nab a draw when we play them. It just shows how ***** our season has been when the best we can hope for is dragging Everton down with us out of spite!!! Pozzo out!
We've never been equal to let alone better than the sum of our parts To be that needs a culture and philosophy everyone has bought into and players drilled with until everything is 2nd nature
