Who is this Aplomb geezer? Worth a contract extension? State of this ******* club That being said, I'd rather field youngsters than people with 1 foot out the door that will shy away from a tackle for fear of scuppering a deal.
Most of us last week....I hope many of our regulars never play again this season. Most of us today....outrage at the team news lol. Personally I’m just disappointed that Baah can’t play, as I think it would have been nice to have seen him given some minutes. Tomorrow will show us all if we have anything at all already in place to be optimistic about next season.
If it means sticking a nail in Leeds’ coffin then I hope we get utterly fistted tomorrow tonight. Fixed.
I am sorry, but how are they "injured"? They have done eff-all these past games. if anything they should have energy to burn. Absolute state of us atm it beggars belief it really does. Why don't we chuck some of the under 12's out there as well? "Hey lads, fancy playing the mighty Everton at a packed Vicarage Road in front of a non-expecting crowd and a manager who will be asleep?" "HELL YEAH" Sorted.
To be honest, Hodgson said it was a mix of injury and/or illness. For integrity reasons I think reasons have to be given - and the club/player/agent know that illness can’t be proved. But we all know what this is in reality. I’d like to see us get reprimanded about it but I imagine it’s nigh on impossible to uphold such a punishment. But does show the level of apathy the club hold towards the fans overall.
Thing is it still will be players from our 25 man squad so be like us making 6/7 changes which anyone can do. Now if we just threw in a load of kids might be a different issue .
The last time I went to an Everton home game when we were relegated from the top flight was the 0-3 defeat in 2007, and there were Everton fans in the then Vicarage Road End. They even had the cheek to applaud when their team scored, making me think for a second it was some of us because their goal had been ruled out. Add to that some numpty laying into Doyley all the time from the moment he was announced as one of the half time subs, and it was a pretty miserable afternoon and the kind that summed up why the Prem wasn’t the joyous adventure that it seemed it would be for us in Cardiff the previous May.
I don’t know, surely the line-up against Man City on the final day of 2016/17 was worse than Saturday’s and even what you suggest we will put out for this game?
As our so called strongest line-up have just lost 6 in a row, I can’t see the issue with us wanting to change it anyway.
Absolutely. But I'd like to drop the wasters, rather than their agents make them unavailable. As always we are cucks.
In all seriousness, what’s going on here? If you’re a player who is now heading out of the door, surely it’s better to put yourself in the shop window than not play. Sarr’s value, for example, must have gone down significantly this year. Wouldn’t it be an incentive for him to play and have a stormer against Everton (however unlikely)?
He's had a couple of months to do that and has turned in stinker after stinker. It's his own fault if he's stuck here or at Udinese next season.
I don't personally think it's because anyone expected the absentees to play well. It's more just the absolute bare faced cheek of our club in blatantly lying once again. Does anyone remember when we has 17 players 'injured' under Ivic and some on here argued to the death that it must have been genuine because why would the club throw games? There are still people out there. They walk amongst us.
I was looking forward to the Championship season up until precisely 6:45 on the evening of September 11th 2020, for some crazy reason I believed Suarez and Estupinan would #pissthechampionship
Yep. Our owners showed us during that preseason just where Watford's team success was on their list of priorities. And plenty of times before and since. But still people think they're brilliant.
I’d have played Sarr alongside the U23’s. Let him get to know them - after all, that’s who Gino will make him train with this summer when he’s trying to flog him with no takers.
Fair assessment-who is left to bring on -surely even RH74 will want to use subs now all is lost-can Luther sign as out of contract ?
It would have been fine if King, Sarr and Dennis were benched. That would have been a point well made. But not this debacle which insults everton, the league and most importantly turns fans
Surprised that no-one has mentioned that Kabasele allegedly played as a striker on his teenage years yet...
There are no excuses. However this hideous mix of zero leadership from Pozzo, constant churn of managers, inept pastoral care etc etc et ruddy cetera has left this disfunctional bunch of has beens and never was (es) devoid of any semblance of confidence. The conclusion therefore is fear, abdication, dereliction of duty, whatever you care to say. Utterly shambolic.
That sounds plausible, whether or not you sympathise with the players - football can be a stressful business at times like any kind of work.
