Pathetic from Hodgson, set up not to lose again. Much better second half after Louza came on but that's not saying much, it was still a training game for Brighton.

Shoutout to Kucka for the worst 45 minutes I've seen from a Watford player in a long time and to JP for the worst sub appearance I've seen in a long time.

We are going down with a whimper under Roy.

 

6 consecutive home league defeats. Equals the top flight club record. On the positive side, at least the record isn't 5.

 

I was close to saying it after the Norwich game, but that might just about be the final nail in the coffin for me and the season ticket.

Just so much more I would rather spend my money on these days. It’s a chore more often than it’s a pleasure.

Absolutely miserable performance barring the 20 mins post half time.

Not even sure we can claim the usual performance of the Watford Wind Down, as we’d have had to be ‘up’ at some point to pull it off.

Latest disgraceful performance in a disgraceful season. Plus ca change.

 

Yes, the first half was a 2/10 and the second half was a 4/10.

If we were going to go down in this fashion we may as well have kept Xisco. Would have saved money and I'd wager we'd have more points right now.

Only tiny, miniscule, glimmer of potential hope is Roy saw the 'improvement' in the second half with a more attacking line up and rethinks his current ideas. I'm not hopeful though.

 

Yep, the disconnect is amazing. Inherit a squad with a tier-3 quality defence & no functioning defensive midfielders, but stuffed with potential attacking match winners & decide to play as if you're the Ar5e Invincibles.

 

That's not a glimmer of hope. That's the glitter on the turd catching a stray bit of light.

 

Yeah but who do we play instead? We released 2 central midfielders and the ones we'd signed in replacement have been abysmal. We have been appalling in midfield all season, so we sign a punt in Kayembe and then waste money on a winger who can't even get on out bench.

If I hadn't seen it all before and said before how terrible our ownership is for the past 4 years, I'd be saddened, but as it is, it's just standard. We are a basket case of a club. We don't belong in the Premier League and we wont be for long.

Once our squad gets picked clean of the few morsels of quality, we are left with a squad of journeyman on long contracts who aren't good enough. They won't get us back up.

Hopefully the Pozzos see this and move on, because I am sick to death of their ownership regime.

Tbf Moog Chalobah and Hughes weren't good enough/were never going to stay anyway. So it was out of Gino's hands. We'll be far better off with Gosling and Kucka in midfield. Maybe we can get Marc Navarro and Jerome Sinclair back on a free?

We absolutely deserve the bottom of the table position we'll get if Burnley get a point from their 3 games in hand on us.

Abysmal approach to strengthening the team and the fostering of a culture where "just enough" is all that's needed have seen Gino and Duxbury firmly put us there.

Total short termism in manager appointments, signing players without seeming to look at their psychology and treating players as disposable objects has left us in a total mess and downward spiral.

 

You need to take the lead against Brighton to stand any chance. Game was over before a ball was kicked. Hodgson isn't the man.

 

I honestly don't care anymore. There is no point in getting angry or frustrated. Just accept we are **** and are going down, probably in last place.

It much better for your mental health when you reach this state of total apathy.

 

Duxbury has to go. We need a CEO who's honest with the fans and has a decent understanding of football and footballers. Someone who can build a positive well functioning hierarchy within the club.

Quite clear that Roy had a defensive plan in mind to keep us up. Three games in and that has gone about as well as we expected.

Surely Kayembe and Louza will at least let us keep in the ball better. I think when Etebo is back he'll no doubt come in as the only defensive midfielder we have
