He will be announced on Monday I reckon along with giaretta. I think they want to announce them together.
Aren’t the team due back at training Monday? I’d be really surprised if they announced then on the same day. I still think it’ll be today/tomorrow and are likely just waiting for him to be in the country.
Just been on the news that Greece is beginning to spike in cases and could be among the next places to be added to the quarantine list...
Is this bloke getting the Mega Bus over?! How long does it take to announce the thing. Sent from my VOG-L29 using Tapatalk
Perhaps Vladimir Ivic is finding it difficult to obtain a work permit. His photo will probably scare the authorities. Has the club still got Gerhard Struber lined up? He wont need a work permit before January 2021 and he does not look so scary.
The club really must improve their communication with the fans. They must be aware of the paper talk etc. regarding Ivic, and if there is any truth in it they should at least acknowledge that he is indeed being considered for the position and that a further announcement on the matter will be coming soon. Furthermore, and I am NOT advocating this with every rumour, but in a case such as this when there is very strong speculation that he is actually going to be coming to the club, but in reality it is known that the speculation is completely wrong, the club should quash the said speculation completely.
Adam Leventhal @AdamLeventhal · 3m #WatfordFC head coach update Expect official announcement of Vladimir Ivic on Monday and his arrival in London this weekend.
To what end though? Either you/I/we believe Leventhal or not. That's the crux of it. What benefit for the club is there is doing what you suggest in respect of Ivic?
Have you never heard of CUSTOMER RELATIONS? There is always a lot of chat on here about the lack of communication by the club with US THE FANS, therefore a little bit of communication about the current strong speculation in the press and amongst the fans about Ivic would go down well with the fans, whereas the complete silence from the club has the opposite effect and upsets many of us. I have already said that I would NOT advocate that sort of action on EVERY rumour concerning the club, but in this particular case when the rumour is SO STRONG, some sort of statement either denying or acknowledging that there is some truth in it, would be very welcome. That is the crux of it UEA
No, I’ve never heard CUSTOMER RELATIONS mentioned ever before in the context of the appointment of a member of staff to a business I am a customer of. For example, I’ve never demanded a statement from my local Tesco about its managerial vacancy. And it upsets you? Seriously? Man up! Sometimes the club gets its comms wrong but why should it release a meaningless statement now just to stop you having a nervous breakdown? You’ve been told the deal is done and it’ll be announced on Monday. Be patient. Have you never heard of BASIC EMPLOYMENT LAW, THE GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION AND CONTRACTUAL CLAUSES THAT MIGHT GIVE A VERY GOOD REASON FOR NOT ANNOUNCING THE APPOINTMENT UNTIL NEXT WEEK?
I did once demand to know why my local Waitrose changed the lady behind the cheese and meat counter, the old one was very friendly
Partizan Belgrade congratulated Ivic on their Twitter : https://mobile.twitter.com/FKPartizanBG/status/1294287070945566720
Just where do I say that the club should ANNOUNCE the appointment. Also who has told us the deal has been done, CERTAINLY NOT THE CLUB, as at this time it is just press speculation. There has been no official denial or any sort of acknowledgement that he is even being considered by the club, and that is the point I am making. As you well know, or at least should know as a football fan, a football club basically belongs to it's fans as owners and players come and go, so it is a completely different situation as to who is managing your local Tesco The fans should be at the very least respected by the ownership and not kept entirely in the dark about something as important of who our next manager is likely to be. As a regular contributor to this forum you know full well that it has long been a bone of contention on this site that many of us not happy with the lack of communication the Pozzo's have with the fans, and all I have been saying is what many have said before that it should be improved. Therefore, as I say in my original post shown above, in this case due to the strong speculation not only amongst us fans but also in the press some sort of statement from the club would be very welcome, at least probably from most of us fans, if not from you, as I am sure most of us would consider it good manners from our club to keep us informed. By the way, I am not having a nervous breakdown, I'm just pissed off with the likes you being such a self righteous a hole.
There’s nothing self-righteous about my position. Your expectations are completely bonkers but I doff my cap to you for having the guts to articulate them where most would shy away from it. Out of interest, can you point to a past example of a similar statement being issued by another club? I’m happy to throw it open to ever in the history of football if that helps...
It is the lack of communication from the Pozzo's that I am complaining about here as many have done before on this forum, I'm not going to go digging, to prove my point but I would not be surprised if you have posted such a sentiment on here yourself in the past. Furthermore, I am not going to go digging for what you say about other clubs communicating with their fans. Maybe I could throw that one out there to others on here who are more interested and better at researching than I am.
In all seriousness, take a breath and think about what your asking for. Yes, as a general outlook, the clubs communication could be better on a number of levels. But why on Earth would they pass comment on this?
Conceding 8 goals in a match led by an ageing talisman and a Spanish manager? Yeah that'd never happen to us.
If you think about what you're demanding here, it is, in fact, an announcement of Ivic's hiring. That's what communication from the club would be in regard to rumours of his appointment.
So I ask again - why on earth would the club acknowledge the story? I’m sure they aren’t longing anything out just to annoy fans, there will be a reason he’s not been announced yet, probably something as basic as him not being in the country yet. When have you ever heard a club say ‘yeah we’ve appointed him but we haven’t announced it yet so keep it down for a few days’?
I mean, I realise I'm probably going to sound bat guano insane here, but just bear with me for a minute... ...but do you think it's possible that the reason the club haven't announced it yet is because the contract isn't yet signed and won't be until he arrives in the country? *puts on tin foil hat*
