P*ss poor parents, or maybe it's just me as I get older.

This morning we took a trip into London and on the tube platform there was a family with two young kids. Both kids were running around and at times close to the platform edge which put me on edge too. It was dangerous and I really wanted to say something but the parents didn't seem to give two sh*ts and Mrs Diamond said don't you dare.
When the train came in the father held the hand of one of them right on the yellow line and the kid tried to touch the train as it went past. You can guess how they behaved once on the train.

Then a few stops down the line another family got on with two young kids who sat there fully engaging with their parents and having a great journey without being little ****s. It's not difficult.

    [/grumpy old f***er]

There's times when I've taken our 2 knobheads on the bus or train where they act like either of the 2 sets of kids above. Sometimes they're angels sometimes they play up. The bus journey from Oxford to the park and ride particularly memorable for the older one sitting on a student and the younger one banging her head on the pole whilst pole dancing on it.

    Silent Witness.
Used to be some good plots with a likeable team of forensic pathology experts trying to solve cases while dealing with personal issues.
Now its just a 45 mins drama stretched out over 2 hours featuring a soppy cheesy love story between the 2 main characters and with all the other "goodies" completely forgettable.
Can't bear it any more but Mrs TuT insists on watching it and gets irritated when I leave the room for 10 min slots and don't miss anything important in the plot....

I miss the Mark Lamarr days. He'd give it if it was warranted but didn't purely pick on people. Very smart man with huge musical knowledge.

A few months back we went to Battersea Power station and took our two little dogs as it’s dog friendly.

It was a nice day so we went and sat outside on these little wall bits that have metal grates in the middle of them and had a drink. Kids aren’t meant to run along the grate bits, but they did anyway, no issue with that though. One of my dogs tends to bark at kids running or anyone running past them, so it started barking at these kids when they ran past. One of the kids noticed this and came up and started getting in our dogs face, screaming at it as if it was funny, which wound our dog up even more, and it was also clearly annoying for all the people around us having their peace shattered by our dog.

We told the kid to stop as the dog clearly didn’t like it, but he carried on while his mum just stood there laughing. We said to her, do you think it’s appropriate to let your child deliberately wind an animal up? and she said something along the lines of “oh he’s only having a bit of fun”

Not that it should really matter, but she seemed very middle class so not exactly rough, but it makes you wonder how these kids will end up if they’re allowed to carry on with such a sense of self entitlement.

You're not alone here - people p***ing around with the yellow lines and at train stations in general is a real bugbear of mine.

On the subject of the tube, the donks that stand on the wrong side of the escalator, or worse the donks that get off at the bottom and stop to read the signs as to which way to go next causing a pile up behind. i find an accidently on purpose shove in the back does the trick.

I was afflicted with the same punishment. I got divorced, though TBF that was only 83% of the reason.
Laughed my head off when, after years of her moaning about “all the crime in the south”, her car was stolen from outside the front of her house in Liverpool. I expect she blamed a visiting cockney.

The amount of sweet and sour sauce provided with chicken balls.

Why do takeaways always give you like a gallon of the stuff. I barely use a quarter of it and then have to get rid of the rest somehow in the bin without it spilling everywhere.

What do people do with all of it?! I know someone who used to drink what was left!

Sweet & sour sauce is like RBs. You can never have too many/too much, you should never have fewer.

At a chippy near Palace at an away game they asked if I wanted S&S or curry sauce with the chips. I was genuinely shocked.

@wfcmoog I don't know where to put this so this thread is as good as any. I have purchased an air fryer. What should I do in it first? Any other tips, dos and don'ts?

I usually favour noodles over rice and it doesn't go as well.

Interesting suggestion! Never tried that. I'll ask that next time.

My in laws donated their old air fryer to us last month having decided to buy a new one. I took it to the tip 3 days later. Mother in law keeps asking my wife how she’s getting on with it. Apparently it’s going well…

    Supermarket car parks.

The layouts tend to be utterly dreadful and people seem to fail to realise they’re walking in the f*king road when walking their trolley back to the car at whichever angle gives them the biggest chance of being mown down! Thickos

Well we've got a double oven, a grill, a microwave, a 5 ring gas hob, a (rarely used) deep fat fryer, a toaster and a waffle maker. If there's anything I can't cook in those that I could in an air fryer then I guess you'd be right. Not sure there is though?
