The Offical Simms Uni Thread

No that's where the civic government are based - the grand building next to the welsh museum. No the welsh gov are based in a dull concrete building between king edward VII Ave and museum Ave. Yes I was shocked at how expensive the tickets are but I still would go at least once and my friends were telling me about the atmosphere.

As for moving, I have no idea. I'm going to accept on Monday and they are aware that I need time to move so prehaps try to find somewhere in the next two weeks (I would like to move in before we play cardiff away so I can go), it really depends how long they give me till I start work as I would like to spend a few days in Cardiff before I started work.

As for the offer thank you very much, but please don't take this the wrong way. I thoroughly enjoyed my student days but I am looking to move on. I now want to live in a clean, professional, setting where we enjoy a nice drink at the pub, at most, on weekdays as we have got work the next day and we have a good time on the weekend but not clubbing. Also I would have to pay council tax by myself if i was the only one working.

 

Ah right, near Aberdare Hall, the lesbian student halls. It's all girls in those halls. Yeh well worth it purely for the atmosphere.

Yeh the cardiff city stadium is about a 50 min walk from where I live now.

There is a pub called The Cardiff Arts Institute where I'm told all the professionals in the law courts and govt buildings all go on a friday after work. Well worth a visit.

Wow. My uncle wrote a book about coincidences and it was full of those little anecdotes.

 

I've genuinely met about 10 guys from Watford, 2 of which live on my road. All horns

 

So did my Uncle!

 

I already knew someone in third year who is a Horn but that's it. One guy in my flat from Wycombe, met someone from Rickmansworth but that's about it really other than people I knew from school etc.

Also, loving Uni so far but already spent ridiculous amounts of money already, doesn't help that all of my student loan goes to my accomodation

I sat next to an old lady from Louisiana on a flight to Houston and ended up giving her my life story. 6 months later, my mother-in-law was at a meeting for University of Texas alumni and was sat next to an old lady from Louisiana. When she mentioned that her son-in-law was from England, the old lady inquired as to whether the young lad was a handsome fellow with brownish hair. Of course it was. Cracking coincidence.

Went to Toronto on my tod when I was 19, went to a sporting event and the bloke behind me in the queue was from Watford as well. Worked at Asda. Not only that, he was showing a photo of a girl to his mate who was my friends girlfriend at the time. Turned out he was getting on her as well.

Told my mate while I was still in Toronto. He tended to get a bit aggressive when finding stuff like that out.
