The Offical Simms Uni Thread

The ever entertaining Simms is making his way to uni, kicking off a tumultuous time for any young person going into the world on their own, for the first time. In what promises to be a life changing experience for young Simms, I think it is only fair that forum dedicates a special little place, for all the questions and hilarious musings our hero is sure to have. So let this be a place for helpful tips, a place to make his transition into student-hood a safer and more enjoyable one.

I'll start with something I considered vital during my first week of uni. Align yourself with somebody who has a car (assuming you don't have one yourself) and make sure you get a ride to Tesco. It's much easier than struggling along the pavement, laden with tins of spaghetti and soup. Even more vital during the winter months when inclement weather will make things a nightmare. Bonus points awarded if your car buddy is a girl.

 

I'll think he will do better if he ignores any advice give on here.

Totally agree with you on the car buddy bit. I missed out there. Damn stinky disease infested Magic Bus all the way for me in Manchester.

Just taken my littlest one back to Uni and that's fine but I'm worried about simms. Why haven't we heard from him? Is no news good news? Is he having a great time or have his phobias taken over? I don't know how I'll sleep.

With respect to your lack of toast issue. You can use the oven or grill if you have one. Dry toast will actually be pretty good for you if you've got a ****y stomach. Failing that, Ginger biscuits will also work wonders.

I assume it's an alcleehol related ailment? If so get yourself down to the local Wetherspoons for a farmhouse breakfast and pint of Guinness
