The draw takes place this evening after the Doncaster v Leeds game, and the draw will be shown on Sky Sports News. As they have seeds and non-seeds in the second round, we will be pitted against one of these sides: Shrewsbury Oxford Carlisle Hartlepool Notts County Luton Barnet MK Dons Sheffield United Northampton Walsall Peterborough Gillingham Port Vale Rochdale Rotherham Barnsley Portsmouth Exeter Bury York Burton Preston Doncaster (or Brighton if Doncaster don't win) Any preference for which team we'd like? I would like Portsmouth, Oxford or Barnet away, for ease's sake. Or a home game against any bar one or two.
I don't want them at all; I know every club has some mongy fans, but we are one of those clubs. I just want a nice game of football without anyone misbehaving, and I can't trust some factions of our fan base to not try and kick-off.
Shrewsbury Oxford Hartlepool Barnet Rochdale Bury Any of the above away as I've not been to their grounds.
Capital One cup is now a winnable competition for us. Weak team at home please. Luton at home preferably.
Whilst I like the idea of annihilating Luton at the Vic, given their supporters will be next to a building site & (as others have said) the idiots among us mean that it's not terribly appealing.
After what happened when we last played Luton at home, if we never play them again I won't shed a tear. When you play each other twice a season the 'hatred/pressure' among the idiots gets released regularly, but given how long its been I can imagine nothing but trouble.
Barnet away. Not Luton at any cost, they'll either smash up the Vic or if it's there, take it out on us as they've nothing worth ruining.
L*ton home or away would be brilliant. Failing that, Brighton away would do. EDIT: Just realised I'll be away when this game gets played. Hope we get someone s**t at home.
I think (hope) those old enough have moved on and those young enough don't really care http://members.boardhost.com/lutonoutlaws/thread/1439411444.html
Anyone but Luton We have nothing to win and everything to lose. Win and it's expected. We don't need to beat them to show we're better, we're already in the Premiership whilst they're languishing around in L2. Lose and it's a big loss for the fans against a club that we're not going to play again for a while. Don't want that hanging over us for a while. More-over, I'm sure Luton players would love the chance to dish out a few injuries, either to fringe players or inexperienced youngsters. It wouldn't be a nice match for those guys to play in, why risk it when we've got league survival to focus on.
BALLS UPDATE: Tonight we will be..... Ball 21 http://www.watford.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=409143
Trying to fight off sleep watching a mind-numbing game between Donny and Leeds which is delaying the draw. Forrester is so, so ordinary (putting it kindly).
Bloody hell very nearly ended up with Luton! Away to Preston, see if that Joe Garner lad is any good.
Such a **** draw. Good job we fly to games. Once it got to a 50/50 chance of Luton I really thought it would happen.
