A win or draw tomorrow and people will be back to calling Sema the GOAT and screaming for Sarr's shirt at the end of the game. There's absolutely no accountability for the players, the starters know they'll start every game and the majority of fans have memories like goldfish. Monday's performance was one of the most shameful I've witnessed as a Watford fan and I didn't even stay for it all. Maybe I should lighten up a bit but I'm still fuming at these pathetic *******.
3-0 Watford. Cathcart, TDB and Davies. I’m on my fourth pint of the day so this maybe the beer drinking.
That is the perfect frame of mind to be in. These cowards deserve to be told that despite our arms length of injuries, not trying is not acceptable. You wear the shirt displaying the badge, you give 110% or as near as you can. Shirking challenges, bottling out of a run and passing to a opponent from a simple pass out (Ngakia), shouldn't be tolerated. I know we need a clean out, we've known that for years now. But until that happens (if it ever does), those who are here right now have to step up and dig in.
There's zero chance that LaClus hasn't checked the facts correctly, so looks like you're wrong on this
A win or draw tomorrow would have to go down as one of the greatest results in the club's history with the current state of the squad lol
Kone and Martins both available for Norwich on the 2nd according to Bilic. Also suggesting g we are in the market for a striker because Manaj is out for 'months'.
Good news on that front, although I have to say I don't know enough about Martins to know if he can be a like for like replacement for JP
Not according to Bilic. He says we don’t have anyone who can fill in for him and he expects 2-4 players to have to adapt their jobs to cover his loss.
Asprilla probably the closest thing if Martins isn't it, even if his end product is nowhere near the level of JP yet
Be fickle fans - every club has them . The same ones throwing insults at Blackpool and Blackburn proclaiming them heroes after a win ..
Trying to think of games for that. Millwall x2 (this season) Blackpool (this season) WBA (this season) Yoveil (Zola's last season) Crewe (h) (01/02 - think the goal came pretty late - awful performance all around) Fulham (00/01 boxing day - not sure if it was us being awful or them just being that good that season) Norwich (h) (last season - really low point) There are others, but those hit the mark off the top of my head.
Watford always seem to lose the games we're expected to win and then win the ones where the cause looks hopeless. Asprilla to get his first goal and a 1-2 win for us. We score first through a pen, swansea equalise and then the asprilla winner with 10 mins left...despite some frantic defending, we hang on for the win.
Bilic saying what we already knew, we've got a group of slackers who can't be bothered to put the work in.
I think too many people associate ‘Bilic (the player)’ with the man he is now. I don’t see anything remotely fearful about him and I imagine the players don’t either. Seems a bit of a soft touch IMO. I’d keep him purely because I think we shouldn’t be changing manager again. But I see little to no improvement under him, and a bunch of players who are still happy to pi$$ about etc. I’d rather have Dyche. But that would constitute yet another change and all that comes with it and I’d rather not have that. So ultimately, I find myself not caring nearly as much as I used to because of the owners chaotic behaviour.
Last game we had an overwhelming vote for a home win. Away team won at a canter. Same again for this one, hopefully lightning can strike twice.
"They don't sweat in the right way". Haven't heard that one. Maybe sign up Prince Andrew, he doesn't sweat at all.
There is a lot more than that. Virtually the whole season under Dyche and the half season under Basset spring to mind
Didn’t we win 7 away games in a row and end the season quite brightly under Dyche but agree wasn’t exactly a great season of football. We didn’t have players on big contracts and high expectations then though .
