In defence particularly? An attack with Sarr , Davis and Pedro plus midfield of Louza and HC ought to be pretty decent in this league- on paper . I know that maybe isn’t the reality!
The lineup and bench tonight is a damning indictment of the p1ss poor recruitment that has been prevalent for a number of years though. I bet they’ll still get clapped off if we lose tonight though.
We moan about our defence but for me a teams ability to quell opposition and start attacks is All about your midfield. OK so Sarr and JP can sometimes magic something up but in general your midfield is your engine room that allows your forwards to excel. Accordingly we have Sarr / JP back to play like half hearted midfielders, and the oppo teams just love it...! We MUST improve our midfield over anything else.
Once again the initiative handed in its entirety to the opposition from minute one. This time to a team low on confidence who haven’t won for eight games. A string of free kicks inviting balls into our box. Eventually they will score from one and tie up the three points. I hate this Watford team more than any other in over 50 years of watching them.

Over 60-plus years I've seen plenty of Watford players who were less technically capable than these current players, but I don't think I've seen a team who play more stupidly.
The Sky commentator is really struggling to say anything positive about Watford, except that they are hampered by injury.
So we can't play against teams who are direct. Nor can we play against teams who pass. We are too slow. Have no midfield. No plan. Hateful game to watch, but at what point do you laugh or cry? We are missing 7 of our 8 available central midfielders. The 8th being a half fit Free Agent midfielder. And Pedro is missing who's our best player by a distance. This isn't Bilic's fault. This is Gino Pozzo's fault for providing an aged squad not for purpose.
I agree it’s not Bilic’s fault and I wouldn’t blame him for walking away before he’s sacked. But other players being injured doesn’t prevent those in the team putting in some effort to try and attack.
All any team has to do is apply some pressure and score first then we crumble like a pack of cards. Bilic will be blamed and sacked but the players need to take some responsibility. Like wise other areas of the club such as our fitness team maybe ?
Not sure if I can be bothered anymore. If the owners and players can't be bothered then why should I? It's not the results. It's the manor of the results. They just don't seem to have any fight in them anymore.
Agreed about the injuries, but that has to be the most depressing performance that I have witnessed from a Watford team. Completely abject. Create our first chance with less than 10 minutes left, when the game is over. **** excuses. Swansea hadn’t won in 8 games and they trounce us. Something is seriously wrong.
