You actually think they'd let you ask those kind of questions?! Even if you managed to blindside them with a question about Gino leaving/wasting money/running us into the ground/be ******* useless they wouldn't answer, would gloss over it and you'd be escorted to the door. This is nothing more than an ass-kissing ceremony with baseless promises and probably a free badge or something for the attendees.

Don't you remember when they had the remote open forum with Dux before? One lady asked a mildly awkward question, good ol' Scott lost his cool and looked flustered, gave a stupid answer and then they cancelled all future forums. These guys have no interest in hearing criticisms, you'll only be allowed to ask questions if you worship the clowns.

Chap I used to sit next to is in the EAH or follows their messages or has a dachshund that looks like one of them or something.

 

The most obvious thing would surely be to have one or two of the more neutral mods from this board attend - e.g. yourself, Cthulhu, dom, HappyHornet, DrewH, or norniron.

Then have a poll with some topics for questions on the forum for users to vote on and the top rated ones get put forward so long as they're not too outrageous (or they're amended slightly so that they address the same issue but in not so much of a 'Burnsy wanting to start a fight' kind of way).

To be fair, I don’t think much of the club. Think it involves a load of ****s.

 

If I'm honest I don't think this needs moderators if it really wants to reach maximum impact. I'm not saying we need a room full of Donald Trump type aggressors. What we do need is a healthy mixture. This is why we need to pull together on this.

 

I just don't see what it would achieve.

We could write the answers up now. A mix of platitudes, things that are confidential and vague promises.

There wouldn't be any real revelations, explanations or concrete assurances.

It would just be like Question Time where politicians spin it all beyond any real meaning.

The only thing that matters is what is actually done and we've had 2 years of absolute crap.

Just sell up and **** off Pozzo.

Sure, but it'd be better to at least hear what was supposedly said direct from another of the board members, as opposed to second-hand via some random fan group sycophants.

And there's a slim chance we could still come up with some slightly different questions, or get some slightly different responses.

 

If he wants his representation it won't work (see last time).
The ones in touch for this one don't want the same to happen. This is why they want as many differing voices to be wanting this as possible

I don't understand the people on here saying 'well he won't listen' or 'he will just ignore the question'. He hasn't had heat like this from the fan base before. He hasn't had even a sniff of the current wave of negativity.

That's the point if that does happen and he straight bats everything we will know as a fan base and should then take more action.

 

Unless there's a massive increase in fan unrest between now and the last game, you probably need to replace "heat" with "tepid indifference".

Fair play to the WML for returning to prominence. I have no idea how they were found but wow, I remember using that thing 25 years ago. It’s like seeing Roy Jones Jr or Mike Tyson climb in the ring again.

People/groups on this new superfans group defended this at the time. They’ve agreed with and clapped through all the decisions made over the last few years. They work with the club on projects and have enjoyed hospitality provided by the club.

They attacked and admonished those who disagreed with those decisions and got their followers to do the same.

They ignored and ran from criticism and questions about their motivations and links to the club belittling those who asked them.

Now they are the ones they are going to save the club from the same people? How predictable.

Whatever made you form an opinion on this talk about it! This is the chance to maybe right a few wrongs from previous years.

I don't have an affiliation to anyone. I have been on this forum for 14 odd years too so I think you know my intentions are genuine.

I totally agree previous podcast groups have been far too sit on the fence and enjoyed a bit of a spitting outside the tent culture as a result from this approach.

I think that ship has sailed though. There has to be talk and there has to be opinion that is realistic.

You opinion matters as much as anyone's so please make it count if given the chance!

 

I didn’t read that post as a dig at you FWIW. I think this thread will be magical once the Parlaci has actually happened though! And add in the Twitter g1mps who will solemnly ask for Gino to be given time on whatever vague intentions he mutters. It’s going to be a cracker.

I think we're on the same-ish page regarding past attempts, and if I remember correctly you're not a Pozzo worshipper, but I think where we wildly differ is the interpretation of the openness of this forum. Genuine question, how do you think this will differ from other fans' forums? Do you think Gino will answer questions honestly? Will Duxbury be allowed to speak, and if so, why?
