Some donk moaning that all his goals are tap ins from 6 yards. Couldn't believe how some people are never happy. Its all about being in the right place at the right time, Gerd Muller wasn't bad and most of his were from 6 yards.

 

Now leading scorer this season? In terms of game time that's very impressive.

 

He must be setting some record for goals/game

 

He is a bit Blissett esque with scrappy goals off shins, tap ins etc

 

He's more than a fox in the box though. His all round game is strong. Holds it up, can lay it off, can run at defenders. He's a decent striker. Just needs to fulfil his destiny and destroy this division.

 

I can't remember when we last had a player that regularly scores tap-ins. Something we have missed badly. Hope he keeps it up, but like Moog says, he offers so much more.

 

Until recently I though he wasn't all that. Shows what I know.

 

He has very quick feet too which could never have been said about Shearer or even Luther.

He'll end up at Swansea or Liverpool.

 

Just read your post about a player regularly scoring tap-ins and the name Gary Penrice came into my mind.

 

It is good Beleck has finally come good despite under an alter ego.

 

Yeah, I liked him, but he only scored 20 goals from 70 appearances. (Wiki) but he was good.

 

That includes his second spell thou, more of a provider than a striker by then. First time round he scored a very decent 18 goals from 43, but even those stats don't do him justice really.

I've just noticed he's now 50, blimey time flies.

 

Paul wilkinson fits the bill.

 

Does Ighalo remind anyone else of Helguson mk 2?

Odion is more skilful on the deck than Heidar, at the expense of some aerial prowess, but I see a lot of similarities!

Small, hard working forwards, who do whatever has to be done to get the ball in the net.

TBF he came from Northwood town & he didn't cost a pound. Apparantly.

 

I think we might without him for 2 or 3 games. I didn't like the look of that hamstring problem.

 

Here's hoping Joka's man management works and Vydra is hungry to step up rather than sulking.

I'd actually be quite excited to see him start again if Iggy was injured.

 

Anyone remember the ultimate goal poacher Alan "Sniffer" Clarke at Leeds in their heyday? Seems to me Odion will soon be worthy of the title "Sniffer" too.

Sniffer Gloo has a nice ring to it!

 

He was pretty regular in that one season in comparison to how many goal we scored overall.
