Don't think he'll go just yet, if he hasn't left by now I'm guessing he will still be there for the Ipswich match

Just put this up as an idea of who could possibly replace him (sick of the Warnock and Holloway comments on here)

Think your right, would have heard yesterday or this morning.

It probably isn't a popular comment, but I hope Zola does stay. Why? As I do think he's the right man for the job. I do not think though that he can do this alone; he's still too tactically na*ve.

I'm happy to give him more time, but I do agree that he needs to up his game pronto.

Seconded with the caveat that if our Chrimbo/NY form is as pants as our last few games we get the new guy in whilst he can still have some impact on transfer window dealings.

Odds for the next Watford manager! Has Zola been sacked then?

I say back him until february. If he doesn't turn it around with the influx of players coming in then see if theres someone better who can do the job. Remember the Pozzo philosophy, replace with equal or better. Don't forget a number of the signings we've made for january probably rely on Zola being manager. I doubt our club will have the same pulling power for players if we sacked Zola. Remember Mcgugan and Ikpeazu and a few others said a huge factor in coming here is Zola. Without him I doubt the foreign players will want to stick around.

There are so extremely unrealistic Watford managers in there...

    Didier Deschamps
    Kevin Keegan
    Mark Hughes
    Claudio Ranieri
    Avram Grant
    Gus Poyet

Its suggesting people have already bet on some of the peeps on that list too!

Half those names appear every time there's a vacancy at any Championship club.

I'm more intrigued by Gianluca Vialli at 14/1 and Hollowhead at 10/1.

I still think the Pozzos will opt for a non British manager

Karl Robinson would be a potentially interesting manager for us.

Neil Lennon at 16/1 is preposterous, like he would leave a trophy winning, Champions League team (willingly) for the championship.

Personally, I think RDM is the dream, and Steve Clarke would not be a bad appointment.

Rolando Maran's name has been mentioned. Weird to have odds on that so soon unless somebody knew something.

Wouldn't mind Alex Inglethorpe, current Liverpool U21s manager

As much as he's a c**t, he does motivate teams and gets them playing attacking football. I always felt zola couldn't get a team motivated, he'd calm players down rather than gear them up towards a big game.

I'd be extremely surprised if the Pozzo's went down the journeyman manger route. Not their style.

Burnely's manager is doing a good job with limited resources. How about we try him? Sean Dyche isn't it?

I think the smart money would be on Clarke. Also averages out as the favourite across the different bookies.

Clarke is my realistic choice. Worked with Nani and Duxbury before, knows the league. Plays ok football. Good connections.
