Seems very much in the mould of the kind of random player Granada or Udinese would have had knocking about and being shipped on loan here.
Liked the look of him personally. Will be a big step up but looked good in the air, striking with both feet and dribbling.
Sat sunning myself by the pool on my holidays and this place has more mole hunting than the spy novel I've just finished. Can imagine someone's burned source is currently making a break for it and trying to vault the hedges on the border to seek asylum in Arsenal's training ground. Will they get past the infamous speed bumps?
Having a good laugh at people suggesting/hoping it could actually be someone half decent earlier in the thread.
A goal every 173 mins in the Swedish top tier. Anyone know what the quality of that league is ? Comparable to Championship ?
Yep I was just looking at the same thing. His goal vs Yerevan was a bit fortunate as well, and I saw he put a header well over the bar from 6 yards in the home leg. He really seems in the inexpensive punt who might improve category. At least these are the kind of signings which Manga et al seem to have built their reputation on, so he might be a good litmus test of their scouting abilities. My expectations for the season were already fairly low, and my initial expectations for this guy are going to be fairly low as well.
It seems we will be hanging our season on Barndoor Bayo and his miraculous Ighaloesque transformation into a consistent goalscorer
Personally think these are the kinds of players we should be bringing in. A young player who is improving at a good rate and has performed pretty well in a poor team. Everyone has been asking “oh what do Manga and Costa etc do?” If they just signed Kieffer Moore and say, Lewis O’Brien on loan, that doesn’t really involve much scouting does it. I could do that. Their job is to see value and upside where others can and do not. Taking a punt on a promising young player from a lesser league is exactly that. The player also fits the physical profile we’re after and would need. Haven’t we all appreciated the improvement in team culture and spirit? Let’s not try to jettison that.
Antonio would love to drop down to the Championship I heard, it's not like he's starting for West Ham.
I thought that, seemed comfortable to hit it with either foot, not all strikes were great but had good connection with both which is more than can be said of several of our expensive signings, in fact some of those didn't seem comfortable with either foot! Agree it'll be a big step up, looked a bit of a unit but not much pace, I hope we get him and then we'll have to see how he gets on. No disrespect to him but I am also at the stage where a body is better than no additional striking options.
In and then straight out on loan to a big hitter like Stevenage or linking up with Troy at Forest Green. Plays a total of 18 minutes for us in 3 years before heading back home to a Swedish 3rd division team. Next.
I always try to see the positives in our signings but if that video is anything to go by I’m saying this is a dud. God I hope to be proved wrong
Are you a striker? Have you had previous knee issues? Will you play for no more than £1,000 per week? If so then WATFORD FC WANT YOU!
It was a joke. Guessing you are too young and/or too cultured to know about Punt and Dennis. I'd still have Dennis back like a shot mind you. Can actually score.
