Sorry to whoever's doing the preview but had to share the good news that Trent is injured for a few weeks! Our chances of victory have gone from 0.1 to 0.2% as he is pretty key to a lot of the good stuff they do.
Thought that was postponed due to the FA Cup? Unless the squeeze the re-arranged fixture between then Liverpool?
No chance Trent misses our game. Wouldn't be surprised if Sadio, Mo and Bobby all pick up knocks and have to come home early from international duty. I wonder if Fozzy will bump into that strange bloke who got kicked out of the ground last time and get him on his YouTube. Can't remember his name, he looks like he's wearing a Bo Selecta mask though.
I make Liverpool clear favourites for this, but I'll wait to see what 'Lawro' says before making any predictions
Makes sense. If Lawro predicts Liverpool win then bet on Watford and if he predicts Watford to win, put the house on Liverpool victory.
Paddy Pimblett, and thanks for that, it's dead-on and I've been wondering exactly what it is about his face that's so uncanny since that incident alerted me to his existence. He's fighting in the UFC London event on Saturday evening, as it happens - let's all get down there with Watford flags and scarves emblazoned with the name of his opponent, and maybe if an opportune moment arises, chuck a Harry the Hornet doll in his face as his opponent goes for the takedown. The resulting positive energy can only help us on the pitch.
With respect to Liverpool, they are a decent side and we should absolutely take their threat seriously. However we simply have to be winning games against teams like that. We should be too strong, too fast and simply too good for them. But it means nothing unless we deliver on the day. Prediction Liverpool 19-1 Watford Alexander-Arnold (47, 51, 53, 57, 59, 60, 64, 68, 70, 72, 75, 77, 80, 82, 84, 87, 90+1, 90+3), Foster (og 90+5); Hernandez (23)
Added a fun poll. Realistically, we facing a Liverpool side on another run of wins, chasing for the title and hold one of the most dangerous strike forces in the division. It really doesn't matter if we play the first team or the U23s. 0-4
The best team in the world at the moment, currently on a 9 game league winning streak, who have already won one cup and still in contention for 3 more, away from home. What could possibly go wrong?
Is that Jamie Redknapp in the background, mincing round , too busy dreaming about his media career to concentrate on the game.
Am hoping that by the second half here will be so many scousers tied to our goal posts that even Salah wont be able to get the ball in the net. 0-0 win to the Golden Boys.
Yep. Pretty sure the other one is Carrighar but it's blurry. Didn't they call Liverpool the "Spice Boys" around that time?
Too busy getting a hair cut or told to. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/mixed-martial-arts/60773665 Yes - you are right about TAA. Wasn't Jota supposed to be out for weeks?
Here are the Spice Boys in their moment of crowning glory. Many people mistook them for a bunch of lads on a stag do dressed up as ice cream vendors, so they had to change briefly into their Liverpool kits for 90 minutes, lose the cup final and quickly rush back to their various media and modelling engagements that the FA Cup final had annoyingly interrupted.
Ordered our tickets late and there were only a few left - all restricted view at £29. I reckon that "restricted view" could be quite handy if the carnage gets too much
I learnt recently to my surprise that that was the only game we’ve avoided defeat at Liverpool in the league, and the only other game in that category in all competitions was the 0-0 in the FA Cup some time in the 80s. Not even fellow minnows Brighton, Palace, Swansea and Wigan have such a bad record there. They’re certainly our most feared opponent after Man City despite a few great results against them in the modern era. And they’ve got Salah - stopping him is like stopping Henry in his prime (perhaps even harder) - but we live in hope as always…
Only a few left? Wow... hats off the loyal hornet fans' who are traveling. I hope for their sake alone we can keep it respectful. Wouldn't it be just "Watfordy" to go their and win/draw?
Salah and Mane were both playing when we lose 0-5 to them last year . However they were both also playing when we beat them 3-0 the year before .
Only Brighton, Citeh and 'Get The Fcuk Out Of Ukraine, Shed Boys' have come away with anything from Anfield this season. Liverpool 1 - 3 Watford. Dennis to score first.
