This tells me we’re missing out on our striker targets and are having to utilise the squad as much as possible, even players like this.
First time we saw Iwan Roberts, he played like his legs were on back to front - 6 months of training with first team and he improved incredibly - he was only completely ****!
This tells me they want to have a look at him training with the first team to see if he could contribute this season. VI won't have seen him before so makes sense. If he isn't keen I'm sure he will go on loan
Portugese media seem to think he's on cusp of going on loan to Vitoria. Quite surprised to see him get a move that high! Think they are in Europe this season.
Pretty odd move, they've got a decent amount of forwards as it is and aren't short of a few quid (as you said - they're in the Conference League and the Aston Villa owners recently bought a big chunk of the club) so could probably do better.
If he’d not blown all his wages on a new car , he might have been able to afford a pair of jeans without holes in.
They must have been beating down our door after the roaring success of the last talented young goal machine we loaned them.
Surest sign yet Gino is working on investment from the Red Bull club stable. RB Watford here we come.
If that was to happen, I would be delighted. Secure financial basis on which to build. Plus a wider range of affiliates to develop players among. The change of home colours might upset a few, but heyho.
Not a fan of this move for him in all honesty. Barely played 360 mins in Colombia last season, I'm not sure moving to a better team in a better league is going to lead to a significant increase in minutes (which is what he needs). The regular part of the MLS season is almost over (11 games left) and NYRB might not make the playoffs which could mean no more league games until the 2024 season starts (likely in late Feb) which instantly limits the amount of football available for him to play - especially as there's likely to be some time for adaptation and settling in also. The duration of the loan is unclear (is it until the end of the MLS season or for a full year?) but I just can't see this move being a success for those reasons, I hope I'm wrong though as he's an exciting but very very raw player.
Joined RB New York at the start of the month but have heard absolutely nothing of him for them? Injured or just getting match-fit?
