No complaints with signing young South American talent for peanuts. That was supposed to be the way. But can’t see how he squeezes into the squad - to be loaned out?
I don’t know, 4 goals already this season in the Colombian second division, that’s the equivalent of the lower championship/league 1 at least. Gino has done it again!
I am 100% for filling our entire squad with Columbian prospects. Give me a few flamboyant, inconsistent mercurial forwards, and a proper South American hatchet man to play alongside Sierralta and I’ll happily accept losing most weeks.
Watford fans: 'We're quite concerned that there won't be enough goals in the team if Dennis and Sarr go' Gino: Yes
Following us already, but that might be because of Asprilla. My guess is he's just desperate to get to the 'Orns.
Sorry do you really think this guy is the replacement for Sarr or Dennis? Buying this prospect if we do, is nothing to do with our squad this season and won’t affect any replacement we might buy.
Two game highlight videos. (click on the YouTube link within the video boxes to view) Wearing yellow shirt, #11, he assists the 1st goal before scoring the 2nd & 3rd. Again wearing yellow #11, Hurtado scores the 1st.
Replacement for Bayo, who has now completed his one month contract at Watford and is joining FC Nantes for £10m
Don’t know if he’d get one yet but pretty easy to get one from South America these days. So maybe loan him to a Libertadores side and take it from there.
His goals this season: His shots so far this season: From his clips he looks like he works hard, good dribbler where he creates a good number of shots for himself from his dribbling ability, decent enough (but not exceptional) in the air, looks to be quite quick. Finishing + decision making could do with a bit of work still, but at 18 there's lots to work with. Was at the prestigious Maurice Revello tournament with fellow Watford player Ober Almanza (and that Asprilla was supposed to be part of) a few months ago, Colombia reached the semi final and ended up finishing 4th, he started 3 out the 5 games - scoring once. Our Colombian scout is earning his keep at the moment!
Aye great determination when it would've been easier to go down and probably get the player grabbing him sent off, but kept on his feet and sold him beautifully with the dummy
Sing up Hornets, we have the perfect welcome song for the new boy! "Hurtado, oh, oh, Hurtado, oh, oh, oh, oh"
Well we do have a decent track record of spotting talent in South America. Richarlison, Pedro, Asprilla (hopefully) so fingers crossed we’ve done it again and here’s another potential gem for the future.
