Don't you get a 5 year warranty as standard from JL too?

 

Depends I think mate, i think sometimes it can be two or three years depending on the product. I may be wrong though.

 

All JL TVs come with 5 year guarantee and free delivery.

 

JL have been very good with regards to various electricals that I and people I know have purchased from them in recent years. TVs, laptops, Xbox 360s etc. all come with 'free' 3/5 year guarantees.

Personally had no complaints - sorted any problems I've had out, most recently a fault regarding the laser on the Xbox360 - had the thing back within a week.

 

I have said it before, Costco is the best place I have found for TVs. 5 year guarantee, good prices and literally if anything goes wrong, you can just give them a call as they will replace no problems. Good old American customer services.

Nath, get on Twitter and Facebook.

Companies absolutely hate negative PR, and should bend over backwards to apologise.

Go to their pages and post this ridiculous situation, and say you have never been more disappointed in a company etc.

 

Facebook was the 'in thing' and Twitter didn't exist when this was first posted!

 

I don't know if it still holds true but early flat screens always had a disclaimer allowing a certain amount of dead pixels ... and if you only had one you were very lucky.

 

Interesting day for this to come up, I read an article about Twitter complaints earlier this afternoon.
