So we had two former players in a CL semi-final. When has that happened before ? Out of interest did anyone watch either semi-final ? I did not. Unfortunately it looks like another Abu Dhabi v Cesspool contest in the making although Franco Madrid are just as unpalatable. Just hoping Villareal can snatch something early in the next leg.

    Yup.

City v Madrid was an excellent match, although defending seemed to be a lost art.

Villarreal turned up to defend, put their whole team behind the ball and got what they deserved unfortunately.

Madrid did very well to stay in it really after City’s early goals .

Probably be much of the same next week.

Liverpool game was just a case of when will they score .

The Europa League final could be West Ham vs Rangers.

Would be a great achievement for both teams (especially one of them) but perhaps it's a sign that the bigger European teams don't take this competition as seriously as they used to?

Off topic so apologies but I've turned on the television and I see Chelsea v Spurs is showing from the WSL.

Am I going slightly potty because I was certain I saw them play each other on Sunday.

    Is it Christmas 1963?

Yes would be nice (probably not for the local police though !)

Both behind though - particularly tough for West Ham you feel now.

Despite all evidence to the contrary, you’re not going even slightly potty. They really did play each other just four days ago, although not achieving the score lines of the 1963 festive period.

How that McManaman continues to commentate on Liverpool matches beggars belief. So one eyed. These idiots think everyone in England is behind Cesspool. You have to be joking.

It used to be unfashionable to not support English clubs in Europe. I always hope they lose.

If G&S could run a football club we might just have Estupinan and Kamara as our tandem. Doig in the pipeline or Ramsay when we move one one. But now. Turned off now cannot stand the gloating from that McShitface and the commentator ******* himself silly over the red scum.

There's a reason Rulli was dropped from the Argentina NT. Amazed he somehow managed to get a call up over Musso for the last game. Perhaps Scaloni will have seen that and said. Thanks but no.

No. Generally has a howler in him. Wildly inconsistent at times. Made a balls up at the Olympics in Rio as well if I recall among several other matches. Sad to see Villareal put in the spadework.

Looks like the bug eyed troll takes on the drug cheat in a megamillion masturbation fest for BT Sport which is exactly what they want. All about 'entertainment' not sport.

Don't think so. At least he doesn't gurn and behave like a two year old let loose in the playground. But how he managed to force his way back into the Argentina squad beggars belief. I hope Scaloni was watching that. Should be Martinez number one, Musso number two and Benitez at Nice number three. All are top class unlike Rulli or god forbid Armani who still gets into the squad every time. Would fit right into G&S plans. Old and over the hill but once was decent.

Usually is. You have to enjoy the brief, very brief moments of exultation when they come along.

He was back in the day when he was part of Nacional in Colombia and pretty decent in most aspects of the game. There was a chance he would be called up to the Colombian national side and there was quite a media frenzy and push for it to happen.

In the end he got an Argentina call up for the WC2018 with everything a shambles and his form has been declining since. His recent River Plate games have been poor. His agility, ability to come out and close the angles, passing and worst of all his attempts to stop penalties say compared to Martinez or Benitez are appalling. Foster like. But somehow like many of our own players he continues to get into teams. Perhaps it's because he really is a very, very nice man. But football selection is not about that. Is it ? Let's ask Fuxbury.
