I would have accepted something like this after Stoke or even Millwall, but it was so clearly not working and to repeat the tactic for a third match vs QPR showed tactical inflexibility and ineptitude.
3-4-3 away from home would be brave.... 3-5-2 more likely but who do you play as RWB ? Can't be Sarr, so Ngakia, so Sarr would have to be one of the 2 upfront ? I agree 4-4-2 with Navarro RB and Ngakia at LB would be foolish.
Maybe. But a side chasing promotion should be brave and seek to dictate play away at a bottom half side.
Yes but 3-4-3...? I agree we should be taking the game to them but few teams play 3-4-3 even at home.
I wonder if Beppe was genuinely out of his depth, or whether player power really had set in...hard to say, because that bunch of players was fairly quickly broken up upon promotion
Those who have not included Cleverley in their starting 11 should remind themselves of this. A list of the only players who have scored more than 1 goal in open play this season.... Pedro 6 Sarr 5 Cleverley 4 I'd have these 3 in the team at the moment.
Also runs himself into the ground every game. Whether he still has the quality is open to debate but he sets an example with his work rate. Should be the captain on that basis alone. Our actual captain, of course, barely breaks into a run these days.
Fat Lino in the middle looks like the bloke who played baldrick in blackadder.....damn’d if i can remember his name
Cov apparently play 3421 so that's the formation we need to play loads of individual battles all over the pitch where you will see who's not putting a shift in
I have no real issue Cleverley, I would just rather see Hughes given the start in the deeper lying role. I would start him over Chalobah.
I watch quite a lot of Coventry, they are pretty **** to be fair. Personally I think Wycombe are the only team worse than them, I think they will go down . If we lose against Coventry we really are *****.
If the new formation does not include a midfield 3 of Hughes, Cleverely, Chalobah and a forward line of Sarr, Sema and Pedro then I'm absolutely done with Xisco
Well we nearly did earlier in the season and that was before we had this grinning simpleton in charge.
This was one 2 minute quote from a podcast that talks 1 hour after ever game. You admit you don't listen to the podcasts which is good otherwise you would know Parkin has not been waxing lyrical this season at all. If you find the podcast so insipid you cant listen to it, then maybe don't comment or be more constructive (which is difficult if you don't listen).
I think they have gradually got worse though and we did have Ivic who was hardly Brian Clough to be fair.
Of course Ben was lobbed by a 20 yard header as he kept telling everyone afterwards. We've made most of the bottom half look good really. QPR twice Wycombe Rotherham 2nd half (ok we were 2 up) Barnsley beat us when down there.
That was the 4-0 on the last day of the season under Malky - my last trip there too. A very comfortable win on a strangely very cold day in May.
Which one of you said Andre Gray can beat a man and has some skill? Were you drunk when you recorded that one??
