I had agreed with everything until you mentioned Masina and money in the same sentence. He is dogshit
It was what I was told when i tweeted he was signing. We signed Dja Djedje with a broken metatarsal; this wouldn’t surprise me one bit
https://www.ccfc.co.uk/news/2021/february/officials-referee-watch-versus-watford/ Yippee, celebrity ref this weekend. That should make our PL egos feel at home at least.
Not great for us at all but you have to credit the agent for a loyal and enlightened approach to representing his client. A lot of complaints about agents as predators but this guy has clearly structured the deal/incentives well for his client.
Welcome to 2021. Satirists are out of business now. I'd like to be able to say that's unbelievable. Unfortunately though I cannot. What a clown show.
****ed knees are really not a problem these days. Deeney has played with ****ed knees for the last 2 years. Whatsmore, he's played to such a high standard that he's been pretty much an automatic first team pick.
Masina on the left and Chalobah instead of Cleverley for me Clive, that way we're not shoehorning players, but there's still enough intent to go out and win the game
Something like that 11 has to be the way to go. If Masina is in the side that you can switch very readily between 4-2-3-1 and something with a back 3.
Just watched the press conference. Smiles have all gone now eh? Replaced by sighs. Fair play to Leventhal as well.
They did. Zola was a genuine resignment and still makes me sad as he felt he couldn't take us any further. Saninno however was definitely jump before he was pushed, having said he saw the dressing room went flat after that remarkable win early on v Huddersfield I think it was at Home when he went into it. He knew he lost the squad then but he got us into fighting fitness which Zola had lost.
Wow, what a burn, haha - I can't believe he's said something else that everyone is thinking but he usually pretends isn't happening for a peaceful life - must really be putting his 'fan' hat on at this point.
"We need to work. We need to change different things, we need to change different tactics,” he said. “You will see what we’ll have. “I think Will has more potential in the middle but sometimes for one reason or another, we decided to put him there [on the left]. I know Will gives more for the team in the middle but sometimes you need him in one side or another side. I know and I’m sure he can give better.” Hopefully we won't be seeing Hughes on the left anymore!
Based on his response, it sounds like he'll be on the right on Saturday . That would fix all the problems.
Think this might be my favourite quote yet. Yes, I know it's not his native tongue but "for one reason or another" really makes it sound like he doesn't actually know why he played him out wide! Which may actually be the case...
Just watched the first bit of the press conference. He initially says that Kiko and Masina are definitely out for the weekend, then kind of backtracks. We're going back to three at the back lads and lasses, strap yourselves in.
No I think he was trying to say that he knows that the wing is not Will Hughes's best position but we had to play him on the wing as Sema had been out for a few weeks and wasn't ready start. I am not sure what is the reason Zinck never started, I think that the club are probably just easing him into things as he has already played a full season as Norway finish at the end of November/early December.
Yes looks like they will be out, the way he said it was that they would assess the situation later in the week. I would rather go 3 at the back than play 4-4-2 and have to play Ngakia lefts side and Mark Navarro again.
Coventry's weak spot is down their left side get the ball to Sarr and tell him to get straight at Coventry's full back.
If Kiko and Masina are out or can’t do 90 mins then it probably has to be a back 3. I don’t mind Kiko at LB, but with them both out it will have to be Sema or Ngakia or Wilmot, none of whom are ideal. I’d go with: Bachmann Wilmot Sierralta Troost-Ekong Sema Hughes Chalobah Ngakia Zinckernagel Pedro Sarr Not totally confident about Zinc on the left or Pedro leading the line on his own but seems like the best way to go.
I would like to see Ngakia right wing back and Sarr further up, we all know he isn't dropping Deeney though.
He needs to ‘rest’ Deeney. I get that dropping Deeney is difficult but he hasn’t been rested at all under Munoz if I recall correctly. Strikes me as a good way to square the circle.
Nothing wrong with that. If I were a Watford correspondent I’d definitely be a member - just part of doing due diligence and staying on top of fan sentiment.
That's what I mean. I remember when someone posted an Athletic article on here once, a random poster said something about it's a shame as good journalism shouldn't be free. No-one other than him would say anything like that around here.
