Moor shameful display?

  1. We outclass and humiliate a limited Burnley with a clean sheet and 3 or more goals

  2. We outfight and frustrate a limited Burnley with a professional win but a slender margin

  3. We grind out a goalless draw with a clean sheet at last

  4. We battle hard but fall to a last gasp goal by their substitute from a set piece

  5. We are outfought and out thought by a limited Burnley who see us off in a comfortable 1–0

  6. We completely crumble to a limited Burnley and lose by 3 or more

  7. The game is postponed because of Covid

Watching him take one of his corners, the ball was wobbling from side to side in the wind as he ran up to kick it. Earlier it had blown out of the quadrant as he waited for the wind to die down. The two worst teams in the division is what I think they are. But the weather was a huge factor and made the game a lot worse than it might have been.

Kamara a massive upgrade, likewise Samir.

Kayembe hasn't done much but he rarely gives the ball away

Add a fit again Sarr and Dennis to the side and we have a chance of staying up

I'm hearing that tonight's clean sheet has automatically triggered a 5 year extension for Roy Hodgson. Congratulations Roy.

Biggest plus has to be that we had a PL quality keeper between the sticks. Also Woy getting the clean sheet that none of our previous 3 PL managers achieved is a step in the right direction. If Foster stays fit, Woy sorts out the defence and Sarr & Dennis perform we are still in with a chance as unlikely as it may seem. It's the hope that kills u. But yes as others have commented without Sarr and Dennis that was a largely championship side we put out today.

Kucha didn’t play as badly as he has done in the past, but you just don’t see us creating too much with him on the right. Slot Sarr in for him (with a work rate demand) and someone else (anyone) for Sema and we have a more attacking threat.

I thought that King played well and worked hard. Pedro was a problem for Burnley. Goalie and defence were solid and our two CMs did enough.

Strangely content with the outcome, given the circumstances and the weather. It is a start and something to work on. Likely that both us and Burnley will go down, but we are not down yet.

I said before the game that we were never going to score with that team so the best we could really hope for was a draw.

Dennis and Sarr are our only two players really capable of damaging teams and consistently scoring at this level - having them back is the only way we have any chance of getting points off of actual good teams and it's been that way basically since the start of the season given how bargain bucket our recruitment has been. Thankfully though they both will be back soon.

It still probably won't be enough to keep us up, but with our defence showing some signs of improvement and Roy having us organised, I suspect that we'll only improve from here unless we get hit with injuries and/or suspensions to key players like Foster, Sarr and Dennis again.

It was basically always the case that we'll need all our key players to be available across the whole season to have a chance because most our backups are crap.

Most seasons a draw at Burnley would be deemed satisfactory. But this year they are terrible - a shadow of their former selves.
There has been a feeling that our attack is our strongest component, but the fact we couldn't threaten them bar a goal mouth scramble and a dodgy penalty call threatens that belief.
It's difficult for me not to think that these 2 teams are currently the worst in the division. The clean sheet and a bit of extra organisation offers a glimmer of hope, however.

I haven't seen the game. Fireworks in the Village tonight, so l thought they were for Watford.
I assume Cleverley has it in his contract that he must get on the pitch at some point.
A relegation dog fight in tricky conditions.
Looking forward to reading the marking for each player.
A draw feels like getting to Wembley at the moment.

With Sarr and Dennis in the team it is, without them it isn't. It's that simple.

King works hard and his hold-up play is alright, but has looked a bit lethargic lately and generally lacks conviction in front of goal - but when he has Dennis and Sarr around him it makes him look a bit better as he at least gets some scraps to feed off as opposed to needing to create scoring chances completely by himself.

JP has some silky moments, and very rarely pops up with a goal, but is still a player who should only really be backup at this level. He is still too often on the fringes of games. He also too often makes the wrong decision, dwells on the ball, or lacks sharpness in the final third.

So a team scoring 3 goals is a worse spectacle than a 0-0?

I didn’t say it was the worst game I’ve seen us play, I said it was one of the worst games I’ve seen full stop.

It’s not just about us and how we perform, it’s about the game as a spectacle. Of course we’ve played worse than that, but rarely have two teams been so bad.

I agree with some of that, but I disagree about Kucka and to a certain extent about Sema too, as I thought they both played OK, especially Kucka who had a decent game and Sema was not to bad either. I also disagree about Pedro, I think he is great but not today I'm afraid :(

As for King I get where your coming from, he is like a Duracell Bunny full of energy but not a lot else IMO.
