Charles "Charlie" Charles is turning in his grave that he's been denied the chance to break the goal scoring record in a single match. https://images.app.goo.gl/zoL6wyFgMspmfuJaA
Hodgson won’t be impacted in the slightest with a few hysterics on here just as he won’t be impacted if we win 4-0 and everyone posts we are safe. This forum makes no difference to anything. Just a mindless pastime for a few hundred numpties like me and you.
I suppose it could be fair to say that no new signings since the original date should be allowed to play. If, on the other hand, you're suggesting that Watford's new signings should be allowed to play but Burnley's (as yet hypothetical) ones shouldn't ...
I was not suggesting anything of the sort, if I'm suggesting anything it is that their Covid based postponement might not have been completely Kosher as it was VERY convenient for them because they had no strikers to speak of
Very convenient indeed. Mind you, it would have been equally convenient for Watford if, having had the game postponed first time round when Burnley were at full strength and Watford were weak, to replay it when Watford were at full strength and Burnley were weak. Better that both sides get equal convenience than that all the convenience is on one side. Now we can play it on level terms and may the best team win, as long as it's us!
How many times does this have to be explained to you? We travelled up to the game the night before and were hit with a spate of positive asymptomatic covid tests in the morning, we had no possible way to get the game on. Why on earth was it in our interests to waste our time travelling up to Burnley and staying the night in a hotel to then deliberately try and get the game off? You on the other hand had one covid case but made no attempt to play the game. you wouldn’t have got it called off under the new rules, and lo and behold all your apparently injured players were suddenly fine just a few days later for Arsenal. There is a very distinct and obvious difference between both postponements which you know full well, so please try and stick to the facts.
The difference being we had several players out because of Covid as well as a large injury list, whereas Burnley only had ONE PLAYER out with Covid and ONE PLAYER at AFCON the rest were just down to their injury list. Plus the fact that they had sold a KEY player during this alleged sickness and injury crisis at their club which should surely count as being a self inflicted act and not something out of their control? So why should they have been allowed to cancel the rearranged fixture?
Just read that Orsic’s move to Burnley has collapsed. No doubt they will now apply to the Premier League to postpone the match until the summer transfer window opens.
Anybody know if this is being broadcast anywhere in the world , wonder if the late change means no body is carrying it ?
Yep, on BT Sport, who are also covering our West Ham match a few days later: https://www.premierleague.com/fixtures
West Ham? What the 4-1 loss at the Vic in front of the world on live TV by them a few weeks back wasn't enough? Looks like they want another high scoring game.
Weird first of all that’s a lot of games to be reschedule 2nd everything has BT showing the game, including BT website , but it’s not on their TV schedule https://www.bt.com/sport/watch/tv-guide
Not sure, but know the Burnley game will be on. Perhaps BT Sport think we're so bad, they'll pull coverage of the West Ham match.
Well call me a **** , no wonder it’s not on BT schedule , it next week not today , I have spent all day looking forward (sort of) to it , I have genuinely no idea why I thought today was the 5th of feb, I’m blaming COVId
It's on BT sports, awful line up though, can't believe he's gone for 5 at the back with old man Kalu as the lone striker.
No chance of that happening, I mean Kalu as the lone striker. If he starts in that formation, he is definitely playing as RWB or RB. Sent from my TECNO P701 using Tapatalk
Just got back from the game. Slow start, but after King got us level we never looked back. Of Bachmann’s goals I think my favourite was his second, such composure. If we can build on this, we have a chance, but we can’t expect to rely on scoring 13 goals in second half stoppage time every week.
Especially if we carry on letting in 14 goals in second half stoppage time . Still , great game for the neutrals . Turf Moor is still a sh1t hole , but just gutted we left 10 mins early when it was still 0-0.
This is disgusting, the team needs you getting behind them to have any chance of survival and you're doing this? What kind of effect do you think this is going to have on the dressing room when the players are shown your betting slip?
Gosling going to them means the inevitable 1 nil defeat, scenes of delirium from him zoomed in on the Burnley bench and us looking like fools again
