Or Pritti Patel but if you are the wrong sort of brown person with the wrong opinions then you appear to be fair game for the "be nice " mob .
Nice people deserve nice. Horrible ***** deserve horrible ****. It's pretty easy really. The country of birth of their parents or grandparents isn't a factor.
I think he is pointing out the contradictions in your position, rather asserting that race should be used as a shield for political criticism.
I will have to respectfully disagree. As I think any other reasonable person would, who had read the post. You know. Seeing as he refers to your previously stated view point, compared to your lack of concern for two other young British females with an Asian heritage. An expressed concern for Sarkar’s in box say, compared to apathy towards attacks on Patel’s heritage. I think he makes a valid point. Patel was seen as fair game, because she is Conservative. Forgive us if we do not take your comments seriously on such matters.
I’m simply talking about her politics, ‘the wrong opinions’ as Davy put it, not attacking her heritage. It would be odd to deplore Boris or JRM and not their fellow travellers. But you knew that, I’m sure, so do be careful where you go with it. Take my word for it, with respect, is what the mods have told everyone to do.
And with respect I remind you that when Patel's heritage was attacked on here, you defended the person that did it, whereas with Sarkar, you rightfully did not hesitate to criticise attacks on her. I commend you for the latter, but find that it does not appear consistent with the former. And if it is not consistent, it is meaningless, in my honest opinion.
Ah, the 150th time you’ve brought the issue up. I’m telling you, I don’t condone it under any circumstances and I never did. I simply rebuked you for your own bad language. Are you going to respect my view now and put it to bed or are you going to continue? Because this should be the last of this three year old issue. @SkylaRose and mods.
I am talking about your recent comment about Ash Sarkar and comparing it to your previous actions that strongly contradict it. If you think it is unfair that I do so, then report me to the mods. I never heard you condemn the comment that was made, or criticise the poster for saying it, but you criticised me for calling it out by using the same language they used to me. Why should I assume that you do not condone that kind of treatment of a conservative woman of Asian heritage, when you first attacked me for critisising the OP, and then spent the next three years trying to get me banned. Take responsibility for what you do. You could have followed Sidney's lead, but you doubled down instead. If you do something like that, expect to be reminded of it, just like you would be reminding me or ZZ if he was around. If I had said what the OP said, or defended a person who had said it, you would have not rested until you got me banned. And frankly, I wouldn't have blamed you. With respect. I don't think you are a racist, I just think you have some very old fashioned conservative views that keep spilling over into your posts, like calling Esther McVey a man in a wig, and that you hold right wingers to very different standards to those you expect from a leftie. I see no reason why I can't demonstrate you doing so by comparing your unrepentant previous behaviour with what you say now. Particularly when you infer racism and bigotry in others.
As good a place as any for the news that James (I love Britain and Brexit so much I’m off to Singapore) Dyson has donated £35 million to his old public school. Meanwhile, yours can go to a school that’s falling down. https://www.itv.com/news/anglia/2023-11-18/billionaire-makes-biggest-ever-donation-to-private-school
