I used my PaddyPower free bet on a Udinese win, without the handicap. £50 free bet so anything I get back from that is free money.

Accumulator down on the first game...perfect. Away keeper has no arms, 8 shots on target and let in 4 goals. ****. Forza Udinese!

1-0 Udinese after 16 mins. Di Natale with a cracking free kick, was inch perfect.

3-0 now. I should have gone for the handicap.

I noticed yesterday that our betting moved the odds for the Udinese game, this will be a regular occurence, i'd still advise placing the bet, no matter what odds you get for it. But the key to getting the best price is just to place it as quickly as possible!

    2.08.13

    Day 2:

Russia Premier League Anzhi Makhachkala v FK Rostov
    02-08-2013 17:00
    Team To Score
FK Rostov to Score a Goal @ 5/6

    STAKE: 75p

(or Anzhi to keep a clean sheet - NO depending on which bookie you’re using, if you can't find it on a particular bookie, shout and i'll track down which bet it is for you)

Anzhi are massive odds on favourites (2/5) to win this game, however I feel the value lies with Rostov. They’ve had a great start to the season, winning 2 of their 3 games played so far. A far cry from last season when they only just avoided relegation. Their turnaround in fortunes is mostly down to Artem Dzyuba who they’ve got on loan from Spartak Moscow, he’s scored an incredible 6 goals in 3 games, and will most likely be involved if Rostov get a chance. Anzhi on the other hand have been poor so far, and out of their 10 last league games have only kept one clean sheet. Certainly think this is great value for a bet that could win after 10 minutes.

Estonian Premier League Levadia Tallinn v Tallinna Fc Infonet
    02-08-2013 17:30
    Handicap Betting
    Tallinna Fc Infonet (+2.0) @ 10/11

    Stake: 40p

This is risky, i’d initially picked out this game for a Levadia -1 handicap before any odds were set, but upon seeing the odds today, -1 handicap isn’t available, only -2. I’m really not confident that Levadia would make that handicap (it was going to be a risk going for -1!), in fact in their last 10 games, they’ve only covered the -1 handicap once. I’m sure they’ll win, but I reckon they’ll win 1-0 or 2-1. So that for reason I think the + handicaps on Tallinna are the way forward, it’s a bit risky because they aren’t a great team and Levadia are one of the most consistent teams in the division, but it’s worth a small stake, as all the stats point to those odds being great value.

I can't find those odds on bet365. There isn't a market for a team to score, only both to score or them to only score. And the estonian match has no handicap result odds.

EDIT: I just realised you said otherwise bet on anzi not to keep a clean sheet. Sorry.

Betfred are rubbish. No handicap/cleansheet or team to score odds on either of those games. Any other tips? Might just put a couple of quid on Levadia to win.

Ah yeah, Estonian game doesn't seem to be priced up on B365 yet..

I just tried to use my free £50 bet on Watford to finish top 6. Without free bet returns = £110, using free bet returns = £60. What a con.

Off to a profitable start on Day 1... albeit very small. Baby steps people.

You don't get your stake back, just the winnings. Fair enough really. I won about £18 off of mine, so that's £18 for nothing.

I bet on the Russian game, but I didn't like or understand Reid's complicated downselling of the Estonian one, so I'm steering clear.

48p profit, almost 5% profit from the starting bank, certainly not too shabby!

Aye, not sure I explained it very well, I did have a write up for Levadia -1, but looking into it more and seeing the odds they were giving for Tallinna +2, I chose the +2. Realise that some people will doubt the selections at times and avoid it, but I have no problem with that!

Do you have a rough time frame of when the balance will be £100+ etc?

    Don't be so impatient Nornironhorn.

    When's the rent actually due?

Tell the landlord he'll have to wait a few days. Tell him you're on to a stone bonk cert and that he'll get his money.

Just waiting on a few results from the Estonian second division evening kick offs.

Both bets placed for day 2. The reasoning behind the Estonia game in particular was good enough to convince me to part with my 40p profit from today.

Not impatient at all, just wondering if he has a time frame in his mind already, because that will alter the stakes we bet/alter the risk

For example, if he aims for say us to be on 100 on day number X, and if we are on £40 the week before just, he might start taking more risks and stuff

    Just curious to his method

    I'm quite positive they'll win, but I wouldn't take 1/5 for it.

No idea, depends on how many bets win! My "usual" strike rate is I win around 65-70% of my bets, I always make sure that the odds are around evens or larger, so to start off with it'll be slow, very slow. Normally takes a week and a half/2 weeks to double the bank, so if you times that out, it'll probably be just over a month, luck depending. Could get there before that or could still be around the £20 mark, depends how the results go!

Also there's no real time schedule, as long as we're profiting, I couldn't care what balance we're on. Even if we only make it halfway at the end of year, then that's still a good return!

Couldn't find the odds so did a £1 Treble of Chelsea (won), Real (won) and Levadia. Believe it returns around £2.20.

Bets now priced up on bet365. It's the +1.5, +2 asian handicap instead at evens.

With "stake not returned" freebets the best % returns are made with higher odds bets.

An even better way to deal with a £50 freebet is to back something at 5-1-ish at the bookies, and lay it off at Betfair. Even a bad match up will get you £35 out of the £50 guaranteed.

Just an observation, like, but you're using a different bookie to the one or two reids suggested and now you're putting on your own bets? Do you not feel you're missing the point of the thread a little?

Bet both teams to score on the Anzhi as no other bets on Corals close to what's displayed.

The Estonian one isn't even there. So skipping that one.

Reids - any other bets for this evening to cover the Estonian one?

just an idea -is it possible to have a reids bet thread with just his daily bets perhaps as a sticky -and all the comments and iother posts on a discussion tyhrad -the first post can copy and paste that days bets from the sticky thread for the discussion .. just a thought and Reida can update his own stickyness with running profit totals etc..

    great stuff btw reids -
