Tom Conti lived in the same road in Hampstead as Vialli did when Luca was our manager. Conti’s house had a theatre in it and his garden backed onto that of one Thierry Henri. Who didn’t play for us.

Can't see that any of them other than Andrew French would ask the right questions. You need people that have an understanding of corporate governance and ownership structures, finance and are on top of all the dodgy transfer dealings over the years- not TV presenters, Youtubers and Watford's version of a TalkSport phone in.

There are plenty of regular fans that can ask difficult questions, you can easily find them on here and on Twitter.

Oi. I went to Hull Uni, albeit 25 years ago. Great place, she'll have best three years.

 

Years ago I was on a two-day course held by the RSoc. One of the first exercise was a 2 min talk - no props or PPT - saying how you were, where you were from, what your research area was, what you were going to talk about and why it was so 'important' for media exposure. Up stands one scientist:

"I'm... and I'm from The Chemical Laboratory, my work..."

"Errrrrr... the university of Cambridge..."

 

Sounds like the Do Not Scratch Your Eyes chaps (and unspecified others) are involved in setting up the meeting. Said they'll be looking to get individuals and fan groups into it, and it'll be recorded but not played live.

Fair enough, someone has to co-ordinate it so credit to them for taking it forward. They're expecting it to be late June/early July. Hopefully they don't put too many of their phone in regulars (in particular the paid subscribers or that woman who supports Manchester United but phones in every week) forward to ask the questions... Or even worse, the guy that drones on about what takeaway he's having. It was at the point where these regular callers started acting like they were minor celebrities that the whole thing became unlistenable.

 

I went to The Deep in hull last year. Was quite good.

Couldn't agree more. I used to enjoy it but exactly this point.

 

I hope they put that Wendover guy up and he gets outed for the whole ‘Scott Duxbury told me we were buying a RWB whilst we were celebrating a goal together’ thing.
